lol, charlie_chalk - i've never thought about it like that - something else to worry about! Seriously though, I looked after my niece a few weeks ago for a couple of days whilst my SIL was in hospital and giving birth, and I was actually quite shocked by how easy it was, well easy is probably not the right word to use, but it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be, we were all up, fed dressed, in the car, and even at school early!-I surprised myself! lol! I suppose with both of them being older than what dd was when i had ds (20 months) there's a certain amount they can do themselves or do to help out. I still maintain that the hardest adjustment was just having the first, dd adjusted very well when ds was born. My main worry now is that we may have another girl, I always thought I'd want another girl when it came to ttc again, but since SIL gave birth to another girl i'm worried about ds being the only boy in the family and getting bullied and nagged to death by his sister and cousins, don't get me wrong, i'll be happy either way, but i do think it would be nice for ds to have a little playmate as well!
Can't believe it's only ten weeks til xmas, scary how quick this year has gone, and to think that this time next year some of us may be new mummies!

I love coming on this thread - sometimes I get so frustrated because it is 6 odd weeks til we are going to start trying - I want it to be here NOW! But then I come on this thread and everyone is so excited about how quickly the time is going and how it is ONLY 6 weeks to wait, and that really cheers me up! And when I think about it properly, the time really is flying by isn't it?! Hooray! Roll on December!!!

I never wanted to cold dark weather to come so quickly before! :)
Roll on the miserable winter nights.....
Is anyone trying to lose a bit of weight before Dec? :)
Due to extra christmas food and new year food, plus we are going on holiday too, so i can see myself putting on half a stone just on that... :)

I may try to loose a little weight - I've been off work since my mc at the end of September, but am going back after the half term hols (I supply teach). Sitting on my bum all day scoffing cream cakes (it's therapy!) has taken its toll on my midriff. Hoping that going back to work will sort it out as I don't have a lot of will power where lovely cakes are concerned!

Poppystar, you're not alone! I'm trying to loose a little weight before Dec, really want to loose about a stone but we'll see, that would take me back to pre pregnancy weight before dd, unfortunately haven't seen it again since! However, during pregnancy for ds i was half a stone lighter at 20 weeks than I was before I got pregnant and the day after I had him was 1lb lighter than when I got pregnant with him, so hoping for the same again this time, would just like to be lighter to begin with! What are you planning on doing to loose weight? Do you follow a particular diet? I'm just calorie counting, bit stuck though as can't do much exercise as have 2 broken ribs at the moment, so having to take things a bit easy on that front for a while, have considered sonmething like slim fast but not convinced thats the way forward to loose weight and keep it off once you start eating normally again, anyone have any experience of it?

Hi mustBmad, I'm thinking of around a stone too!
This hopefully will be my first pregnancy, but I had no idea you could lose weigh!!
How to I order that one??? :)
I'm planning just to eat a bit healthier, Eat More Fruit and Veg, and I would like to Cut out Bread!!
and some sugar! I don't think I'm a really bad eater it is just my lack of exercise is my problem!
I work from home so I don't have an excuse not to go a walk or a cycle.... apart from its cold and wet outside. :)
I do think its about 5%eating well and 5%exercising and 90% actually getting off me mum and doing it!! I like the feeling afterwards but just not before!! :)

Hello girls,
Well, my little lady is 2 today! I can't believe how time flies. I don't know if it's the fact it's my baby's bday which is making me all nostalgic- thinking about the day she was born etc but my broodiness has gone into over drive!
We also had a bit of an upsi accident almost 2 weeks ago, it was a one off and I know there's not much chance I am pg but it's brought all the wondering and excitment of ttc back! I took a test yesterday and it was BFN so I am pretty sure I am not pg but it's made me really want to be even more. I really want to start this cycle! Whats wrong with me ladies?! We are meant to be excited christmas is around the corner- not getting all impatient!
I should be losing weight too- I lost a lot before the summer when we were originally going to start ttc. But then we had a chemical pg and I lost my job so I starting the comfort eating again..I really need to start healthy eating again but not today because there is birthday cake!
Hope your all well ladies, tell me to stop being so impatient!! Lol!

You're not the only impatient one Charliechalk! I am sooooooooooooo broody!
I am so obsessed that today I worked out all my cd1 dates from now till Chrimbo (I have a pretty regular cycle), then my ov dates, then my edd dates. Then (as if that wasn't sad enough!), now that I know the dates in December when I will be theoretically fertile I have worked out how many weeks it is from now until then, then I wrote a count down in my diary at the top of each week, so this week I am on "10 weeks til tcc". Now that is truely sad. I have too much time on my hands.

Awww bless you moonsandstars- I do that too hunny- your not the only one!
I had a chat with oh after my post earlier- I feel like theres a few things holding us back at the moment but that doesn't stop the broodiness! Anyway, we have come up with a new, slightly earlier plan. Before the plan was the ttc after my december af but we have now decided to do so after my november one- which means that if my cycle is regular it would mean I am fertile around the very start of december- so that is when we shall ttc from...so thats just 6 weeks away! Ekkk! I am due on anytime- so this cycle coming up shall be my last without ttc. I am pleased with that plan, still gives us a bit of time to prepare but isn't too long to wait. We have had a lovely weekend filled with family and celebration and I love my kids so much- cannot wait to complete my family and have another little buddle to join them!
One thing holding us back was that I don't drive yet despite having two lots of lessons! I am going to need to drive transporting 3 kids around! It was finding the money though- I wanted to do an intensive course but its so expensive. Anyway my mums partners offered to teach me- so I can get lots of practice and then have a few instructor lessons before I take a test. Much cheaper option!
Anyone else got any new developments?? Oh and ladies- I just saw two christmas adverts !!! Wooohooo!!
So pleased tonight )

Hi girls. Hope you don't mind me joining in?
I'm Sarah. I have 3 girls, 5 in Feb, 3 in march and 16 months. So this will be number 4 for us!!
I just saw this and had to reply as Charlie Chalk sounds like my cycle buddy!!! I've worked out my dates and I'm due to ov beggining of Dec too. I'm due on end of this week too. Think we are going to give nxt month a miss also as theres alot going on right now. I need a month to get my head round actually trying again!!!
We had originally said nxt June, then this Autumn, then June again and now we are officially trying now I spose!! lol! OH and I had a heart to heart at the weekend and he wants to try now. He's even said he will try and quit smoking!! I'm so happy right now but I think this is going to take a few weeks too really sink in.
Looking forward to getting to know all you lovely girls. I usually post in Large families and my baby was born in June 08.

poppystar, lol at getting off your mum, that made me chuckle when I read it! I lost weight because during pregancy I have really bad nausea, only ever been sick once but the nausea is enough to put me off eating just in case, I hate being sick, and i never really feel hungry because it lasts all day and night up to about 20 weeks for me and then with ds I just craved cider (don't even like apple juice normally due to an incidence with one too many sour apple side kicks, but we won't go into that!) for the rest of the pregnancy and so all i did was eat apples and drink bottles upon bottles of appletiser, I can't remember eating or drinking anything else, plus i probably eat healthier during pregnancy, not because i make a concious effort to, it's just what I fancy.
charli_chalk, I'm the same, ds is con=ming up 3 at the beginning of december and it depresses me that I don't have a 'baby' anymore, I know they'll both always be my babies, but it's just not the same as having a little tiny or toddling baby, they're all independant and don't want me anymore!
Moonandstars, I have done that, too, all the way up to a due date of June 2011! I'm being really picky though, I'm trying to aim for a september/october baby, I know that would mean falling straight away, but i'm hopeful, if not we need to give feb a miss as december is already an expensive month with ds birthday, wedding anniversary, the out laws anniversary, my birthday and then xmas to top it all off! So I was trying to work out when we need to avoid and when we can try properly! I'm sooo sad!
and hello, sugar 'n' spice, great that you are trying for your fourth, I would ideally like 4, but we'll see how it goes with 3 first!!

Hey Ladies,
It is weird- we all do have similar ov dates- mine are slightly earlier I think- but thats only if I get af this month when I expect it. My cycles have been quite irregular- which is very annoying! If af comes on wednesday when shes due and I have a 28 day cycle then my dec ov date is 1st dec-which feels nice and like fate considering we want to try in dec-1st seems like the ideal date.
Hi Sugar'n'spice and welcome! Number 4-that's lovely- I think we'd have 4 in an ideal world too but as I have had 2 sections and will hopefully have 3- I've been advised anymore after 3 can be risky and also I think we'd struggle for room with 4- but never say never!
So ladies- whats your actual start date of trying if you have one?
Mine is around 1st december

Hi all, I wish I could work out ov dates but can't as still on the pill :(
Sugarnspice I would love 4 kids, I can't wait to start tcc no.2 then3 then hopefully 4 :) Hubby would pass out if he seen this post, he's struggling to come to terms with ttc no.2!!!
I'm not as broody at the moment as I was a few weeks ago, I have been so busy with work, and the thought of having to pack everything up is stressing me out!! Its going to be hard packing and moving and getting the new house painted etc before christmas. I'm hosting christmas dinner this year so I'll want at least my downstairs finished for then. There is woodchip wallpaper everywhere so its going to be a nightmare getting it off :(. I'm thinking off just painting over the woodchip in dd's room and the hall, just until I can afford to get it all redone as I don't think I could face looking at barewalls for ages.
whats everyone been upto?
xx

Thank you for the warm welcome girls!!
With regards to having 4. I'm just a gal that always seen myself having 4 babies :)
In a way I'm a bit sad as this will be the last time we ttc, the last time I'm pregnant, and the last baby I give birth too :( cry! (All being well of course).
Pregnancy seems to fly past so fast!!! And babies grow up too quick!!
Charlie chalk I think we will be trying at the begining of Dec too (if we don't get carried away nxt month) lol! Also you could end up having your 4 if this nxt pregnancy is twins :)
We are getting central heating fitted nxt week so I'm now starting to panic about tidying up the place and what an earth I'm going to do with the kids nxt week as it's half term!!! I can't have them in the house or it's guna be chaos!!! x x x

Wow those dates are so spooky - they are so similar to mine!
Theoretically I will have two opportunities in December - one right at the start and the other right at the end/beginning of January.
If I fell pregnant at the start of December I would have the baby around the 26th/27th August (different websites gave different EDD's). If I fell pregnant at the end of December my EDD would be at the end of September. Hubby is adamant that he doesn't want an August baby, even though I am trying to persuade him that as most first babies are born way after their EDD, if we started trying at the start of December we would most likely have the baby right at the beginning of September. He remains unconvinced, so the end of December is looking like the most likely first opportunity for ttc.
I am waiting the arrival of af at the moment (due on Thursday). I am hoping and hoping that she comes on Saturday or Sunday. If I had cd 1 on Saturday or Sunday, that would push back my November af by a few days, therefore pushing back my August EDD by a few days. REALLY, REALLY hoping she gives me a few days more before she arrives as I would love to start trying at the start of December - the end of December is just too far away!!

If I come off the pill in January, I'll be due to finish the pack on 26th January so should be upsi'ing in febuary. IIt seems ages away!!! Hopefully we should be settled into the new house by then. I wish I was off the pill just now but hubby won't let me incase I fall pregnant straight away. We are away for an overnight in a hotel this weekend. To tell you the truth if hubby let me have my way, if you had asked me a few months ago what I would be doing in october, I imagined I would be pregnant. When I booked the hotel (hotel and football tickets were hubby's wedding present from me), I really thought I would be pregnant by then/now. Nothing ever works out how you plan it does it?!
SugarnSpice, I agree, kids grow up so fast, I can barely remmber being pregnant now and I cry when I loo at baby pics of my dd. When she started school in august I was breaking my heart as shes grown up so fast. I can remember saying to my gran when she was a tiny baby, I couldn't wait until she was older and could play with toys etc. My gran replied 'you would wish her life away, enjoy it, as they grow up so fast'. She was right. xx
