Subject : need some tip's please???

Hi everyone i have two children my eldest is 9 & i really cant remember how we got started, all i remember is she was quite good & only the occassional accident (she was dry in the day by 2).

Im now getting started with my llittle boy who is 3 in december. He has just started pre school & im expecting baby no:3 in feb so atleast would like him out of nappies through the day.

I left it till he started showing signs he was ready & was telling me when he had poo'd for example (always after tho not before lol) & would wee on potty or toilet if asked before bathtime so thought id give it a go. Now i've started i want to perciever (sp).

We bought new potty & pants which he likes & yesterday was quite a good day, he only had one accident. He hasn't tried to poo though which is unusual for him as he does tend to go in the morning but he just isn't going at all since nappy off?????
Today he is constantly wetting, even when stood right next to potty!!!!!

Im explaining wee wee's go in potty not on the floor & keep asking if he needs to go which he say's no to then 5 mins later it's all over the floor arrrhhhh........... lol

Am i starting to early? Am i doing it wrong? When popping shops etc should i put him in pull up's or is that confusing?? His pre school said to put him in pull up's for the two sessions he's there but i never bothered with pull up's with dd so unsure how to go about it all, any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Help ??????????

Hi I can sympathise as going through the same at mo! I have read on potty training book that it confuses them to go sometimes in pull up as it is ok to wet sometimes but not others. My sons who are now in there 20's were potty trained quite quickly and i believe it is because pull ups didn't exist and you just had to 'do it'. This time I have been putting my daughter in pull ups for nursery and going out and we are getting nowhere fast! At the end of the day it is your decision but try to stick it out - good luck!
