Subject : Did you buy or hire your birthing pool?

Im still only a little bitpregnant lol ( just over 8 weeks) but already thinking a home water birth would be my ideal birth. Did you buy or hire your pools?

There wasn't much of a choice about hiring near me, I could only find one locally and it was a rigid one and cost a fortune by the time you bought your own liner etc. I bought mine. Birth pool in a box. I've lent it to a few other people in between and I'm planning to use it again myself in the next few weeks!

I bought mine off Ebay - it was an unused secondhand Birth Pool in a Box. I saved about £60 as it came with loads of extras. We will be using it next summer as a paddling pool for Gabriel and hopefully again as a birthing pool in the future!!

i got mine of ebay and am now reselling it, neither of us have actually had our babbies in it.

Full packet plus extras for £100 new would be £200.

Its the same price to buy as hire so if you buy you can re-sell and get your money back.

Email me if interested.

I bought a new inflatable one, "La Bassine", seems a good quality and sturdy, got to fill it but never actually sat in it or gave birth in it as had to transfer to hospital... Shame. Perhaps will use as paddling pool one day or sell it on Ebay.
