Hiya,
Ive not got a 11 yr old yet but my BIL has a 13yr old.
He put a t-shirt and a pack of hair clips/bobbles in hers. He got an assortment of colours, from pink, purple etc ( I think they were from tesco) along with the customary piece of cake, the girls loved them especially as they all had similar style tastes too. Being a single dad it made him the most popular thing since sliced bread lol!! ( I think he spent about £30 in all on party bags which these days is a bargin lol!)

I agree, my daughter is ten and loves the hair slides, or little bits. Pound shop is great for those sort of things. girly glitter pens etc, and a couple of sweets

in my experience with 11 yr olds and parties it's about 50/50 for those who do do party bags and thoses who don't. So it's up to you. There are lots of neon bits about that the girls seem to love, handbands etc. Nail vanish, sweets a choc bar and the cake sounds fine, or as I said if you want to save the pennies leave it, no one will think it's weird most of it gets binned / given away anyway!
