Subject : double pushchair, which one?
I know it is very early days, but I am looking at double pushchairs, just to get an idea what is avaiable and what is a good double pushchair.
There will be around 12 months between no1 and no2 (if everything goes well) so definitly need a double. I am not a fan of side by side. I have looked at several, but there must be more. Could you tell me which one you have? if it is any good? If not what would you like to have? What are the disadvantages and advantages of them? Basicly your opinion on which one you use and why you use it?
We have looked at a Graco one and we have looked at Phil and teds, last one is very pricey and first one is very bulky. There must be more available?

I hear what you say about phil and ted however i have that one and its great, i have a 2 year old and a nine week my two year old walks everywhere but when he was init using the bumper seat for the front and having my daughter in the cocoon was hard to get her in and out but thats it only bad point, it close with ease and takes up little room, I got the sport one and its a great way to go jogging with lo and not upset her cos she stays still and asleep hope this hope, the best place to get it from is babies r us( in toys r us ) it will be cheaper there x

we got a hane powertwin off ebay brand new for 230.. which I think is fab value. as we are goingt o sell on second hand after we have finished with it... it all depends on your preferences but I wanted a car seat to fit option, and a bar infront of the front seat as my son loves to lean out on his ..and the back seat is elevated so they get a view also..
19months apart also...

It's never to early to look for a double bcoz there is no perfect double, any good sales person will tell you that.
To me important things to think about were
Weight-if it's heavy to begin with what will it be like with two kids
Space when folded, how much space in the car boot etc
And would we be left with a single pram at the end
Eventually we got a phil n teds vibe. Not the p&ts that I wanted, I liked the dash which came out in march, so we waited month then oh changed his mind and bought the vibe, which we could of had all along.
I've heard good things about jane doubles, we looked at the graco, but thought it to bulky. Cosatto duet gets fairly good reviews, we liked it, but didn't love it. Icandys tend to be a bit of a money pit, my dd1 is tiny and we would of had to have bought head and foot rest extenstions at £50+ each so that was a no. Obaby bought some nice looking tandems out recently, not sure how good they are though. I wouldn't recommend the p&ts vibe, but the sport and dash are lush! Plus you end up with a single pram whenever you want.
Don't be afraid to ask other mums if you see them out with a tandem, I get asked all the time, and even did some asking. Most people appreciate it's an expensive decision, therefore needs to be an informed one. See me sucking all the fun out of baby shopping lol.
Do you live near kiddicare in Peterborough, even if your a couple of hrs away I'd recommend going, they have so many prams to look at, and a nice cafe so you can make a day of it, plus a soft play bit for Los. It's so much easier when most are in one place.
I hope you find a double that suits you x
