Subject : Bumgenius pocket or Bambinex Bamboo?
After seeing all the posts lately about reusables on 'Baby' I have decided that I want to give them a go. I went on thenappylady.co.uk and answered some qns and she recommends either Bumgenius pocket nappies or Bambinex Bamboo with onelife wraps. I'm not sure which one to go for so I was wondering if anyone has used them both which did you prefer?
Thanks. x

I've not used either of those exact nappies, but I have used similar to both. The Bumgenius are fast drying and easy to use, and give a slim fit. They aren't hugely absorbant though so you may need to boost them when your lo gets bigger. Just realised I HAVE used one of the Bambinex ones when Barney was little, they are lovely nappies, very absorbant, but they are bulkier than the BG and take aaagggggeeees to dry. Personally I would go for the Bumgenius, we use pocket nappies and I love them.
On a different note, I am hoping your carrier will be in the post tomorrow, but at the latest it will be Monday. I am so sorry it's been so long but being ill wiped me out completely for the best part of 2 weeks.

I have the bum genius and they are easy to use. Girlinleeds knows more about them tho as she has been using them longer than me!

hi as jellyfishpink said, i've been using bumgenius for nearly 5 months now and there fab. Pippa isn't a particullaly heavy wetter and we just use the bg with the big insert and that last a good 3-4 hours, it may last longer but i wouldn't leave her in a nappy for longer. My dh loves them as there just like a disposable to put on, and they dry overnight (he won't let me have a tumbler) can't recomend them enough, i think there a really good intro to cloth nappies, but that's when the fun starts

I like the Bumgenuis been using them on my nearly 3 week old for a week now, coz of runny poo it does go through the nappy liner but I just soak then in napisan and then at 40, come up really clean. They are a bit bulkier than disposables but will keep using them. Savings will count in the long term. My little man was 7lb and I use the extra small bit.
