Hiya girls,
sorry i have not been on for so long here goes....................
i was induced using gel...
DAY 1
gel used contractions stated..........no beds so second lot of gel no applied contractions stopped.
DAY 2
same as day before
DAY 3
same as day one
by this time iwas really fed up i was missing my 3 year old really tired and in pain,the night staff broke my waters and i started in labour from my first contraction it took 59mins to have my beautiful daughter olivia weighing 6lb 12oz she was 2 weeks early.............only with gas and air...........

...........i tried to push my placenta out it wouldnt budge they did loads of stuff to try and get it out they injected it with some thing i heard the nurse say"woops" then i noticed loads of blood on the floor....

........ i was rushed to theater wear i had an epudural and my placenter manualy removed...............
i was cut and needed loads of stiches..........i was in hospital for 4 days then i was sent home......mid wife came and said i was ok.

a week later i wasnt feeling right i went to the docs they didnt say much just gave me some tablets incase i had a water infection.........
.......... the day after i had a terrible head ache tummy pains and was been sick i noticed i wasnt weeing much.
i was rushed in to hospital i had blood posioning as they had left some placenter in my womb as a result of this i has blood posiononig and i develped kidney falure i was put on a renal unit and started dyalsis.......... during this timei dint see my 3year old or my week old baby i suffred badly,i had two blood transfusions
i was in for 5 weeks .......
.......... i missed her first bath all her new born clothes and the first 6 weeks of her life our bond was really week

im getting stronger every day but i may have permint damsage but on a good note i have boneded loads with olivia i love her to bitsxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

thats such a shame that you missed all that. but def better that you are helathy and able to look after baby now your well. i to had a retained placenta and haemorraged quite badly. thankfully i delivered the placenta myself after and hour and half of trying. was given a transfusion. but count myself lucky that it wasnt more serious.

really pleased to hear your bonding well with your new arrival and hope you have no problems if there is a next time

Oh Emma, I don't really know what to say, apart from I'm so sorry that you've been through all that! I know this isn't really the point, but I hope you're taking legal action - they really must not be allowed to get away with that horrendous treatment of you, and unless they're forced to change their procedures they're a danger to other mothers. I can't believe you had to go through such a thing, it's so shocking. Are you having counselling? It sounds like you could really do with talking to someone about it to help you come to terms with it. I'm so glad you've bonded with Olivia, that is good news - you're obviously a fantastic mum. thanks for your replys i am taking legal action just going through it now,i havnt had any counciling at the mo but thinking about it i have a lot of support from family and friends and i talk to them how i feel.
i wont be having any more children as the strain on my kidneys will be too much (sad).
will let you know how i get on
