Subject : Has anyone had morning sickness like the flu?

Hello all.

Just wondered if anyone was like me. Im 6 weeks plus 2 and feel so poorly I have had to go off sick from work. Im so dizzy i feel like my head might fall off and I feel really sick and just generally unwell. I think it is morning sickness as I think I was like this with my first although I cant remember exactly how I felt and it did start later at about 8 weeks. I did have to take time off work last time though.

Has anyone else been like this? Not sure if its just the flu or something but I dont have a temp and its been going on for 3 days now without getting any better.

Any advice would be greatful:)

Hi hun with this pg from about 5-7 weeks I felt so dizzy and sick all the time, I could barely sit up, it does sound like bad morning sickness. It's now eased off a little and I'm just a bit sick if I eat etc. Are you managing to keep anything down? Just try keep your fluids up to avoid dehydration and if ur unable to keep fluids down maybe make an appointment with ur gp just to make sure your not getting dehydrated etc. I really felt like I had a bug or something and felt properly ill with it it just floored me. Hope u start to feel better soon hun

Hello thank you for your reply:)

I havent actually been sick just feel really bad which is a good thing as I am able to take fluids. I just feel so bad being off work cos the other staff dont understand and think i am being silly. I am a nurse though and am so dizzy i just dont think i am safe to work. I just cant believe how ill I feel.

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and pleased you are starting to come out of the sickness side:) XXXX
