Is there too much pressure on new mums to lose baby weight?

Subject : What could be wrong with me???

Hi all,

I had my 3rd MC on thursday and have been left with no answers! I have to wait until both my doctors are back from their holidays to get answers how unfair!!!

I have had a laposcopy and they said im totally healthy and normal! I took asprin and a pesary to thicken the cervix and stillno good!

What is left that can be wrong? I heard something about the baby not developing coz of our genes but if it is this what the hell can they do!!! Im so scared I wish they just knew what was wrong so they can fix it!!!

If anyone could just maybe suggest any other things that i can research that it might be that would be great because at the moment im so frustrated!

Thanks all

Sorry to hear about your MC, I can't really think of anything apart from my sister in law had 8 mc, she eventually had a 3rd baby - a boy. They wondered if it could be that she couldn't carry a girl. No idea what that was about.

Hi hannie,

I too don't have any advice or explanations for you but my mum had 5 mc's before she had me and they never gave her any answers either. That was 30+ years ago but they just said to her, she might not be able to carry a baby full term and she went on to have four healthy children. I know it's hard but don't lose hope. You can push for answers from your GP but they might not be able to tell you a reason. Ours told us recently that so much about infertility and mc's is guesswork and they might not have all the answers for you, however frustrating that is. I don't think it would have anything to do with your genes though, unless there is a genetic problem? I would have thought your doc would have eliminated this as a possibility.

Best of luck sweetie and sticky babydust for you,

S xx

grrr i replied to this already!

Sometimes it can be something very simple I have seen other girls on this site comment about a clotting disorder in pregnancy that just requires a tablet a day to correct in order to stop clotting which is causing mc, other girls have reported only needing a course on antibiotics once pregnant, push for tests chick, it could also be unforunately one of those unliucky things and hopefully next time will be the wee bean that sticks, good luck to you chick xx
