Is there too much pressure on new mums to lose baby weight?

Don't worry, Michael did not start smiling till around week 7 or 8. And even than only a couple smiles a day. Every baby is different and they say that they normally start smiling in the first three months and that is still a bit to go.

Theos done a few, but its really hard to get one out of him, i think hes still unsure how to do it but can manage it time to time!! (thats my excuse for when he wont smile at me anyways!!) But his first was at about 4 1/2 weeks, Im glad i got a photo of his very first smile and since ive managed to film him smiling with a chuckle too. my advice to you is to keep a camera out ready to snap one when your LO does give you her first smile!! xx

Grace smiles but like Theo I think she's still working out how to do it when she wants to!!...mostly her grandparents see them rather than us!! heehee..she's 6 weeks too...

dont worry hun, LOs develop at different stages and your LO will be gummy grinning in no time xxx

Yeah as the others said there is plenty of time yet. Olivia was born the same day as Theo and she has only smiled a couple of times so dont worry Smile

hiya annabelle started properly smiling at about 5 weeks, but as everyone has said each baby is different and i'm sure your lo will be smiling in no time at all. xx

I had one smile from Jason at 5 weeks and a day, but nothing since and he's 6 weeks today. I'm really hoping he does some soon because I could use a smile after being woken up EVERY 2 HOURS for the last couple of nights WhateeeEver!!

xx
