Hey,

I've only ever had an HSG, and think that a hycosy differs slightly, so can't offer you any pearls of wisdom, but just to say hope everything goes really well and that the procedure itself is ok.

Good luck

x

Crashing from due January. Don't forget to take the two paracetamol beforehand. Also, can you bring anyone to drive you/accompany you home? I felt a bit woozy afterwards.

Apart from that I found focussing on my breathing helped me relax during the procedure and I enjoyed the TLC my OH provided while I curled up and milked it for all it was worth that evening (I told him they recommended chocolate)!!!

Babybarbarella- Thanks for the tips, I'll take a couple of tablets beforehand. My DH can't come with me so my Dad is bless him, he doesn't know the details just that it's routine tests, he can't even bear tampax adverts on the tv bless him!!

I certainly hope DH thinks to bring some chocolate home- lol!

Oh and congrats on your pregnancy! xxxx

I too had an HSG, which I guess is different, so can't give advice, but hope it all goes well today.

Hi girls I'm back.....!

Good news is- both tubes are perfect, womb and ovaries all look good.... so a huge relief!!

But afterwards as I walked to the changing room I came over really faint... so I sat down but got a really bad pain and suddenly felt really hot and sick.... I'm not sure if I collapsed or just decided I needed to lie down but was on the floor being sick. Luckily a nearby nurse got me a bowl in time. They got me a bed and let me have a lie down and I felt better quite quickly.

I felt really bad as there was a woman getting changed next door who saw me being wheeled away and I guess she was there for the same thing, that can't have helped her nerves!!

The procedure was not nice but bearable especially as I was hearing reassuring words of good news throughout... that dramatic little episode aside (and I don't think it's the norm!) it wasn't too bad and all it feels like now is period pain so I hope I haven't worried anyone soon to have their test.

I have an appointment in 2 weeks to go over all the results.. but for me all looks good, I'm ov'ing, no infections and as I said all bits seem to be in working order so I assume that's all my tests now?? So the only thing that's flagged up throughout is DH 2% Morphology.... which I don't think renders TTC impossible so I'll see what they advise.

Thanks for all the well wishes and advice, much love (a feeling slightly sorry for herself, already in pj's and waiting for hubby to come home with a takeaway) OP xx

hey chick sorry i missed your earlier post. Your not dramatic at all it was prob a combination of meds they would have given along with good old nerves and a bit of shock mixed into the cocktail, totally normal chick, every one responds to things differently. EG: if you tried to put me on a plane you'd prob find me on the floor of departures lying in my own vomit and convulsing in fear LOL

Glad all has went well for you, you sound exactly like us I had no issues OH had 1% morph in one test and 2% in another so pg is possible we were recommended the ICSI route but as you know touched lucky before this was needed, The consultant swears it was that oh cut out redbull!!! LOL

good luck for the follow up xx

I'm so pleased OP (about the all clear - not the passing out and the vomiting!). Moonbean is proof that it can happen! XXXxxx
