Subject : looks like we are going to be moving house next month! eek!
Well hubby and i live in a lovely little cottage in the middle of nowhere but its too LITTLE, we dont have any space. Our in laws have offered us there second home in the nearest town to us about 6 miles away. The house is much bigger and is close to our friends, mother and toddler, shops, swimming pool etc. After much deliberation we have decided to go for it and will move when hubby gets back next month ill be 27 weeks eek!
Im very excited though as ill have double the space i have now and will be able to do all the new mum things with my friends even when the weather is bad (was snowed in last winter for over a week and didnt see anyone), i wont have to drive everywhere. The house has a fair size garden for dog, cat & rabbit but our hens are having to go to in laws for the time being.
The plan is to move into the new house and put our old cottage on the market, thus giving us time to find our dream FAMILY home.
Im a little nervous about the moving and upheavale but i think its for the best.
What do you ladies think?

Hi sweetie it'l be great for you to have more space and you wont be so isolated, are you going to buy the house from your in laws or is it a temp move? dont worry about the move just get the men of the family to do all the hard work and sit back and relax! Just remember my line 'im heavily pregnant you know' iv been saying that since 5 wks xx

It will be a temp move maybe just a year or so but who knows as we need to sell our place and find our dream home. We feel so lucky that we have a stop gap until we find a new home instead of just having to move buy somewhere for the sake of it.
Its typical though that the house becomes free now and not before but saying that im just glad im not 8 months pg or there would be no way we could move.
Im so looking forward to have more space, will be lovely as nursery room is twice the size of the spare room here. I can't wait, will miss the hens but they will only be 10 mins drive away so i can go visit them and we will still ge the eggs etc.

it sounds fantastic - loads more space to store your bugaboo!
Just remember to lay down the ground rules with your in laws - so there is not too much interferring!
How exciting x

Oh wow, big move, but it sounds like the right thing to do. Can you stay there for as long as you like? I dont think id want to move twice in a year for instance! We are also looking for somewhwere to live, we want to buy now the market is looking ok and want to settle into a home with bubs, even if it will only be for 4 or 5 years. Hopefully then we'll be able to affrord a proper family home!
good luck with it all, Em x

Hey sweetie!!
We have just managed to find a house - I was stressing about it so much!! Ill be moving when im 29 weeks so its going to be a bit tough!!
I think inthe long run its definatley worth it! We are moving because we live in a town house, and our bedrrom is on the middle floor and the spare rooms are upstairs but I wanted to be on babys fllor when she moves to the nursery!
Its so excited! Our nesting instincts are going to go crazzzzy!!!! xx

your soooo lucky!!! i'm stressin as we live in a 2 bedroom old house have room downstairs but upstairs is just the 2 bedrooms not even a landing - toddlers room comes directly off side of stairs (death trap)....i sooo want a third bedroom but cannot afford to move so were looking at extending but we'll more or less have to do everything as will be doing on budget (actually with no money until i figure out about a loan)
the prob is nothings going to start before baby and even then it wont be for a while so we'll just have to put up with no space!!!

We've got to move as well. Landlords want to put the house we rent up for sale and isn't ideal so are taking the plunge. Scarily we are looking at houses requiring a fair bit of tlc- new ktichen, bathrooms, paper, paint, conservatory, garages, the lot - bad plan, but still exciting! Can't wait to have my own place so we can decorate a nursery and have nice bathrrom and kitchen.
Know just how you feel 2bsmart - but will be worth it in the long run.
Ix

is anyone staying put? We're trying to finish our loft conversion before november (desparately needed second loo - pardon the pun). Best of luck to everyone with the moves - just be in charge of the kettle and takeaway supper!
