Subject : Going Back 2 work...pnd

Hi ladies,

I was due back at work 6 weeks ago but have been on sick pay due to pnd. Doc has given me antidepressants and i must say they r not great, i just dont feel myself anymore, constantly tired and run down. When I start to feel like I am getting back on track, something happens and causes a setback. I am currently having tests done @ hospital due to swollen glands and night sweats and i see a heamatologist every 4 weeks to try and get 2 the bottom of symptoms. If that wasnt enough I contracted swine flu 3 weeks ago and was told to stay indoors for 2 weeks without visitors. Im worried about returning to work, my doc has told me he is not happy with me to return just yet, and i wondered how long u are 'allowed' off?

xx

Aww hunny, sounds like you're having a tough time at the moment! I hope you are starting to feel better! With regards to taking time off, you are allowed as long as you need! As long as your GP is signing you off then your work are not allowed to force you to come in. You might have to go to see someone from HR or occupational health for a meeting, but that should only be to see how they can help and support you when you are ready to go back.
I hope they get to the bottom of your symptoms soon and you start to feel like your old self again xxx

Hey hun dont have any experiance but like pp I would imagine as long as you need as long as your signed off. Work should be the last thing on your mind, get yourself feeling better, look after yourself and work will be there when your ready
