Subject : Does babybrain go when baby arrives?

Hi girls
Just wondered if baby brain goes once baby arrives. It's getting stupid. I just popped into town, paid in some cheques before I realised I hadn't got a ticket for my car so had to run back as fast as my bump could carry me (not that fast lol!). Then had to go back into town to do the rest of my shopping. Came back with loads of stuff but didn't get money out.
So it took me twice as long to comlplete half my jobs!
Someone please tell me i'm not going to leave baby somewhere, i'm quite worried now!
Thanks
Em

Nope, you will have baby brain for the foreseeable future LOL! My best trick ever was going out for a walk with my eldest in the pushchair, when I got home I couldn't find my keys, untill the little girl from next door came out and gave them to me. Apparantly her mum saw me lock the front door and then just walk off and leave them in the lock WhateeeEver! to make it worse my rather nice car was right next to the door on the drive and the keys were on the same ring WhateeeEver! WhateeeEver! Good job I had nice neighbours, although I think the little girl thought I was completely deranged LOL!

Totally agree with everyone - nope, afraid not!

SBJr is 12 and I've never recovered LOL!

When I was pregnant with TJ, I was always forgetting things. I'd stop mid-sentence and just look blankly at Takers not remembering what I was saying. The butter went in the cupboard, the plates in the fridge...Takers stopped mentioning it in the end and just puts things back where they should be LOL!

No, sorry! My LO is 1 this week and mine's got no better - and reading some of the other responses from people with older kids, I don't hold out much hope! You will adapt and learn to live with it though!

I think it's more about the brain cells dying off and not being replaced than being too busy and so forgetting stuff LOL!

That's my excuse anyway and I'm sticking to it LOL! LOL!

Totally agree with everyone else. Mine is 14 months and I am worse than ever! I always forget what I am saying mid-sentence and go into a room to do something, then wonder what I'm doing there. I've only just turned 21 in fact, so I think it's slightly worrying.
Slightly O/T - did you know that brain cells start dying aged 15?
