Subject : I'm feeling soooo much better! (o/t)
Hi girls, well i've been looking over my previous posts and seems like its all been doom and gloom lately!
What with BF'ing and feeling crappy, struggling with lack of sleep, dealing with Luca, who is now a permanent flight risk (since disappearing on saturday he seems to have developed a taste for freedom and we have to keep everything locked) I never realised just how awful i was feeling about things!
So the other day i had a big heart to heart with OH. We both got lots off our chests, we spoke abut how we both feel about Luca which is something we've never done before, we've always just got on with it. Its selfish, but i never even considered that he might be finding it just as difficult as i am coming to terms with everything, but i've now realised that he's just as sad as i am and we need to talk about it more! I also spoke to him about how tired i feel all the time and how i'm not really eating properly through the day etc. I also told him how annoying i find it that he's always rushing off to help out other people when he's not at work, which makes me feel very neglected!
So for the last two days, because he's not been at work, he's got the boys up for school and taken them in so that i can catch up on some sleep, and then we've done some things together! Only housework and stuff, but its nice when we do it together, it takes up less time, and he's been decorating while i've been cleaning and tidying, so we kind of have a laugh doing it all which is nice! We had a lady round from the portage service, who has given us lots of advice about keeping Luca safe and dealing with his more challenging behaviour, like the headbutting etc.
I had a chat with my HV about my diet, and i've now started weight watchers. Seems a bit funny, i do have a stone to lose even though i'm over a stone lighter than i was when i fell pregnant, but its mainly to help me get the amount of food i need, and the right kinds of foods! I'm apparently allowed 10 extra points because i'm breastfeeding, so i'm eating lots of fruit and veg, and filling foods (i had porridge for breakfast this morning, it filled me up for ages!)
And today, we went out and bought wallpaper etc to decorate the living room! Only to wilkinson as we're a bit skint, but we got some gorgeous wallpaper and curtains, cushions etc, and he's promised me he'll get the rest of the house finished by xmas (we've been here 6 years but not one room has been finished because he always ends up being too busy with other stuff)
So in short, i'm hoping things are on the up! I just wanted to thank you all for being so lovely and supportive and giving me lots of good advice. And hopefully over the next few weeks, with a healthy diet and a bit more sleep i'll be back to my old self again!
I also wanted to gloat a little, i've made it to 11 weeks exclusively BF and i'm still going strong, and Bella slept from 8.30 to 3am last night, yay!!
Thanks again girlies xxx :D

I'm glad it's going well.
Homebase are doing loads on 50% off at the moment if you need more stuff or other options for decorating.
I'm glad you managed to talk to him and are feeling a better about things. I hope it continues for you.

Thanks SB.
I know what you mean, although i have to say my portion sizes are bigger now, but thats because everything is bulked out with lots and lots of veggies! I made spag bol last night from the fast track leaflet, it was really tasty, and the best bit was the boys wolfed it down! It was stuffed full of carrots, mushrooms, tomatoes, celery, and they didnt even realise bless them! Oooh i'm evil lol xx

carpet right can be good as they often have lots of big offcuts - we did our spare bedroom that way, or find a local inde as they can be good too.
WW is really good. Managed to lose a stone and a half last time I did it - and I only did the online option. It has taught me things and how to weigh up what I'd rather have to eat. Sometimes I ignore it, but at least I know that I'm being naughty, and how naughty.

hehe, i have cheated a little bit, like using my extra points for some chocolate, but i'm really quite convinced that chocolate should be a staple part of any diet!! thanks for the tip, we have a carpet right near us so i'll have a little look! x

I'll scan the recipe and send it to you if you like
Drop me an email and I'll send you a few if you want
I try to save my 4pts a day so I can have naughtiness on day 7 Even if it's just a snickers bar and a couple of vodkas!

Can you get them on ebay d'ya reckon? I cant really afford to buy them from meetings, they're so expensive! I've done the online pay monthly thing though, so that'll save me some money! One of my friends got ww and gym membership free from her GP after having her baby, but mine wouldnt do it!! Bad man :(

There are some good recipes online and I've bought a couple of recipe books from ebay.
Most of the recent books aren't any cheaper on ebay but you can get some of the older ones for a few quid.
I was told that about doctors and getting it free but I haven't asked. Has she got a lot to lose?

not tons, but she had 3 children in very quick succession (the oldest is coming up for 4, the youngest is 9 months) so i don't think she had a chance to lose any in between and ended up with about 3 stone to lose. She goes to a diferent surgery so i do wonder if its one of those postcode lottery type things! My GP said that as i'd lost quite a bit of it myself there was no need, but i would have thought that shows i have the willpower and won't be wasting the money! Oh well, the money i'll save on take away every friday will pay for it lol.
And thanks 2Aries, i think i deserve it now too! been too much stress in my house lately xxx
