all day yesterday i was feeling really sick and was getting excited thinking, ooo, what if? then when i got on the train to go home i started to feel really headachey, generally achey, feverish and spaced out which made me realise that there was something more going on. today i feel worse but it's like a mild seasonal flu rather that a full on, can't move from my bed type thing. i've spoken to the docs and they say that it probably is but there is nothing they can do as i have no confirmed underlying health conditions. that's fine as i don't feel that bad and should recover in a few days. i'm worried about a couple of things though. there is a possibility that i am 3 dpo today, as i had ewcm and ov pain on tuesday. mind you, i have had a tiny bit of brown spotting and cramps this morning so it's probably AF on the way (at long last, cd54!). hoping that the flu wouldn't make any difference to chances of conceiving if it's quite mild?

i'm also worried about the colleague i sit next to at work. she is nine weeks pregnant after IVF and i made her loads of cups of tea yesterday. i really hope i haven't given her it as i know she will really worry if she has got it.

oh well. not much i can do really x

Oh Luckyvic, I'm sorry to hear your not well and the Swine got you, really hope you are back to your old self soon and make sure you are well looked after with lots of fluids (and I find chocolate helps).

If you are really concerned that you could be pregnant, then I would call the surgery again and ask them. As for your colleague, I'm guessing you have told her? I'm sure she would have already contacted her doctors for guidance....concentrate on getting yourself back to full health.

Please tell your collegue. In case she were to feel sick this weekend she would have to take action immediately as fevers can bring on miscarriage, etc

Hiya - think I've had it too! Both me, hubby, his work colleagues and mine have been ill in last few weeks, like a bad cold but a bit more fevery, and it seems to be lingering too. Spoke to Occupational Health at work yesterday and they said it could well be swine flu as the strain is quite mild, and that no one will ever really know now that they've stopped testing for it. Every day I think I'm getting better but I just seem to have plateaued and still not quite there yet. Hope you feel better soon LuckyVic! Sending lots of sympathy and hoping it doesn't interfere with TTC,
