Subject : Swollen Tummy After Section

Just wondered if any of you noticed that your tummies were swollen after your section, I still cant fit into any trouser (only got one pair and there maternity ones still) dispite having lost weight whilst pregnant! How long will it take for my swelling to go down? and also area under my belly button feels lightly numb and tingly when i touch it, did anybody else have this?

hey. my lo is 10weeks on tuesday and my 'buldge'above my scar has finally gone wohuuuuu! i had quite a bit of swelling above my scar and it did take quite a while for that to go down. Im now back into my pre-pregnancy clothes and regaining feeling around my scar. It has felt very numb from the belly button down, and really strange when i touch it...but its getting more 'normal' now. the swelling etc will go eventually..id say im almost back to normal now..it just takes time.

take care

Hey. You will get a lot of bloating (gas) as the epidural stops your digestive system and it takes time to get back to normal! I had my son 14months ago and still have a numb strip on my tummy. xx
