Subject : what do you do for baby sitters? **UPDATED**
morning everyone
Just to let you know I checked with Shea's nursery and as it a "pre school Learning Alliance" nursery their policy states that their employee are NOT allowed to babysit out of work!! Something to do with insurances which I find a bit silly and confusing, cause I can't see what business it is of the nurseries if their staff do babysitting in their own time.
Anyway I took that on board and thanked them for looking into it for me and collected Shea and left, As we were getting in the car his co worker came running out as she accidently on purpose forgot to put his diary in his bag!!
She said she couldn't sit this weekend but any other weekend she would love to as she just adores Shea. it turns out she only lives 5 minutes away from us too!! I don't want to get her into trouble but she said as long as we keep it quiet no one will know, and she's gonna put her mobile number in his bag next week.
She's a lovely girl too and Shea adores her, so hopefully that will be my sitter problem solved!!

Ah - how nice of her.
Not sure how sensible that is though? What if (god forbid) there is an accident? Im a bit clueless when it comes to baby sitting ect as I just about let the boys nans have them occasionally but if its good for you and Shea then go for it.
Just wanted to say RE Healthy start vouchers on the other post I think you are entitled to them if your income is less then £14,495.

Oh good!!
I really don't think it's anyone's business what staff do out of hours, unless of course they do something that reflects badly on a business but you know what I mean.
Maybe they are more worried about staff getting poached?

I think the main thing to be aware of is that if there are any issues the person babysitting isn't covered by the same liability insurance etc that they would have in work (which some people might take for granted).
I'm sure they will be fine and at least Shea knows then already which is much better for all of you as any tricks or habits he uses to blag additional treats etc she'll probably already be aware of.
