Subject : sorry need a whinge and some advice please....

may sound trival to some but Chloe is doing my head in at the mo with this!!

No matter what type of beaker i give her, chloe finds a way to empty it everywhere - so much for no-spill!!! she is just too clever!! She finds whatever is about it that should make it no spill and works out how to make a mess with it!! she has a beaker when in her highchair for a drink with her meals etc and she just sits there until she has pretty much filled her highchair tray with the contents of it!!! doesn't matter how much or little i put in she empties it!! she thinks it is hilarious and looks so proud when she has done it!! she also then makes any food she has left on her tray into one big soggy mess and then plays with it!!

it's now becoming a problem where ever we go as she knows now how to make a mess so everything ends up soaked. I know it is only water and things will dry but before long we will have things going mouldly and smelly from all the wetness and we simply can't afford to replace most big things!

I've tried tommee tippee first cups, asda, tesco, sainsburys own brand of non spill ones, tommee tippee nuby ones, avent magic cups and even doidy cups tho obviously these aren't non-spill - they were brill when she couldn't or wouldn't hold a cup but now she will just fling them!!

I just dont' know what to do! fortunately our downstairs is tiled so floor easily mopped but still is open plan and she is soaking the rug, sofas, her toys etc everytime so major clean up operation every time. To be frank I'm just plain exhausted and fed up so this is so not helping!! WhateeeEver!

I have to leave her in her highchair when i make our dinner cos it is open plan she can and will make a beeline for the oven and therefore burns risk etc. I have no where else i can put her - we dont' have room for a playpen or travel cot anymore and can't section off in anyway!

Any suggestions anyone?? anyone been through similar and come out the other side?? if this is a phase then it is a long lasting one cos she has been like this since at least march, if not before!!

HELP!!! Frown

Sorry honey no real advice as Poppy still does this from time to time!
She's probably reacting to you more than anything so just tell her it's naughty and clean it up, no fuss or anything. As soon as she realises she isn't going to get a reaction then she'll probably stop.

I agree with Donna & Poppy. She probably loves to see your reaction and finds it funny. Just take the cup off her and wipe up without any fuss.

Charlotte fills her high chair tray too!
