Hi Karen
I have just seen on the 'how many days left till due date' thread in Pregnancy that you only have 6 days left till your due date!!!
How did that happen!!? I can't believe it...really only seems like a couple of months since you announced your BFP!
You must be so excited now!
Just wanted to wish you luck for the birth and say I hope everything goes smoothly. I can't wait to read all about it!
Love and hugs, NN 13+1 xxx

Hay hun I keep wondering about Socks too, she hasn't been on very much since her BFN last month, i think it really knocked her for six cos her charts were looking so good., I keep hoping and praying to log on and see her BFP. NN are you still in email contact with her? Send her my love if you are.
How're you both feeling now? NN you must be sooooo excited! and Mog how does it feel to be facing birth number 5?! I wondered if you get any less nervous knowing what's to come....or more so! Am starting to get a bit anxious now!
Love to you both xxxx

Hey ladies,
Hope you dont mind me butting in to your thread, but i popped on here hoping some of you might be around, lovely to find you all hear chatting away!,
MM, wow you must be super excited, infact your the first of the people ive met on here to have a bubba... well done you.
NN, 13 weeks, you go girl.. i bet you cant stop smiling, i am truely so pleased for you, I need to catch up with your blog.
Slippers, great to see you too, when i think back all those months, it seems all us girls put so much time in on those chat rooms..That cetainly felt like a long winter!
I dont tend to come on here so much anymore, various reasons, a few months back realised that i was getting myself so uptight about it all, and I had to stop chatting about my lack of pregnancy, also the angst for the ectopic, well it doesnt go away but you start to heal... gradually.
I have continued to visit my fertility unit for various scans, hycosy and the like, but ive realised despite my trying this is going to take time. This week I have been put on Clomid (50mg), so fingers crossed all... maybe July will be my lucky month, it is a year since we started trying, it would be wonderful to end that year on a high.
Also, about Socks, i also read her posts last month, i prob should post more to her as we have both been around a while now and seems like there arent that many of us left, but like me i think she needs time away sometimes too, it gets like that doesnt it..
Anyway you lovely glowing people who bring me lots of hope, Take care and lots of babydust for you and your little bumps.
Gem x

Hi Ladies
It's so nice to have a little catch up! It feels like we've all been through so much and been on this journey together helping eachother.
I still get very nervous and feel worried a lot of the time (please tell me that's normal!?). Some days I'm fine and can allow myself to feel really excited but others I am so scared of it all being taken away again that I feel like I guard myself against relaxing and enjoying it. But I really want to start relaxing and being excited about planning everything!
I still analyse every tiny ache and pain and even the lack of them some days
Seeing the consultant on Thursday (my pregnancy is being consultant led) and last time we saw him (which was actually a wasted journey - apart from the extra scan! - because I hadn't seen my MW yet and he wanted all my blood results back first) he said we could have another scan next time we come in, so I'm hoping he keeps that promise! I think because we've had 6 scans already so far (because of all this brown discharge I've been having and then a bleed at 11+2) it's made it more difficult to go 2 weeks without seeing Baby Roo! I start to get restless about 5 days after a scan and start wondering if all is still ok. I am really looking forward to feeling Baby Roo move - hopefully that will help me feel a bit more reassured - did you find that Karen and Slippers?
Have also bitten the bullet and ordered a doppler (after MUCH hmmming and aghhing). But we've decided to try it for the first time after our scan on Thursday so that if we can't find hb at least we know that baby is ok as hopefully we'll have just seen him/her that morning and everything will still be ok.
We also have a gender scan booked for 30th July! I'm really excited about that - can't wait Less than 3 weeks now! I just hope Baby Roo keeps his/her legs apart so we can see We booked it because hubby and I are both so impatient and can't wait to find out and also to break up the wait between 12 and 20 week scan.
Anyway........
Yes, I do still email socks She is just taking a little time out from being on here so much and taking a more relaxed approach to TTC. I really, really hope it does the trick for her because I really feel for her and she SO deserves a sticky BFP very soon. I will send all your messages onto her - I am sure she will really appreciate your kind thoughts as I know she's been finding this journey very difficult at times.
Gem - so good to hear from you I am so pleased for you that they have started you on the Clomid - I have my fingers very tightly crossed for you that it does the trick. You are another lovely lady who is on my wish list for a sticky BFP very soon!
I haven't updated my blog in weeks and weeks! I felt like I needed a break from writing everything down in the early days of being pregnant as it was making me focus on everything too much. But I am in the process of setting up a new blog about Baby Roo to share scan pics amd bump pics etc!
Anyway, sorry for waffling on there ladies
Love NN 13+4 xxx

Ah you waffle away hun, it is lovely to have a good old chin wag every now and then. Gem, it's fab to see your name, haven't seen you about for a bit, it's good that yo'u're getting such good care and they are trying lots of different avenues for you. There are some names that stick with me from those sad times last year and Like NN, I hope and pray both you and Socks get your very sticky, very much deserved BFPs very very soon.
NN I'm sorry to say that although I looove being pregnant the worry hasn't really stopped! Possibly cos I am a tad mental?! The other day I read such a sad post on pregnancy about babies who were lost in the very last days of pregnancy that I am now so worried that this might happen. The movements are reassuring, but then when you don't feel them you panic again (or at least I do!) I think a doppler is a good idea. I didn't invest cos I was too scared of not finding anything and sending myself psycho! But I think for reassurance they are a godsend.
Anyhoo, I shall not go babbling on about how bonkers I am and all the tiny things I worry about. In amongst all of that I have so loved all the planning and buying and prepaing, so make the most NN, it's like getting married, the organising and the build up are such a big part of the day, that you have to try and make the most of every second! (Yeah right, so good to see I've not taken my own advice!)
Sending hugs ladies......might just nip across to July to check up on Mog!
Em 34 weeks today!

Boo!
So nice to catch up with you girls!!
Karen we are awaiting with baited breath!! I cannot wait to hear all about it and see some pics of your gorgeous girl. How spoilt she will be with all those big brothers!!
Ive been on email with Socks too and yeah she needed a break from here for a bit. Understandably so. It is helping her to not put so much focus and pressure on ttc.
Gem honey - you sound happy and content, im glad. The perfect state of mind to achieve that BFP and the clomid is a good step in the right direction. I went on it in the end and after 3 cycles (50mg, then 100mg, then 150mg) we were finally successful. I had to be in the right positive state of mind to achieve that though so its great that you sound like you are already there. Ease into it with your docs advice and I hope you will be one of the next to announce your BFP. Dont be afraid to be assertive though with your doc and ask him/her to up your dosage next month if you are not successful first time round. There is a risk of multiples with the higher dosages, which Im sure you are aware, but the risk was still fairly low for me on 150mg. Besides, if you aren't bothered about having a multiple pregnancy then there neednt be an issue.
Nat - its natural to worry but just dont let it overtake you. You are past the hard yard now you are in your second trimester. It does get more reassuring when you can actually feel some movement and you won't be far off that now. I started having flutters at 17wks and now I have full on movements!! Sometimes uncomfortable but its reassuring to know that Brody is alive and kicking so to speak (except at 2am!!) The more relaxed you are the more calm you pass on to Baby Roo.
Slippers - its only natural to be bonkers. Thats another thing that brought us all so close together !! Besides, we have a good excuse to be bonkers and Im loving it! I didnt trust myself with getting a doppler either. I would have only sent myself more insane! But yes they give you reassurance.
Ok girls Im getting a telling off now by hubby. Apparently son # 1 (aka Levi - my cat) is getting antsy that Im not in bed with he and hubby. They just dont understand our need to chat!

Hey hey girls! Sim mentioned you were asking so I thought I would pop in and say hi! I am well still very un pregnant though. Grr. Anyway aw I wish GEM and I could join you in here! Miss you guys! Feel a bit like I don't belong anywhere anymore which is why I don't come on much at mo. I don't really know anyone in ttc or ttc after mc and feel a bit of a fraud in lttc as we are not seeking help yet.
But hey look on the bright side, I can eat lots of things you girls cant
Anyhoo! Hey mog 6 days gees where did that time go! Well hopefully I will be checking in here in a more official capacity sometime soon. I will be screaming bfp from the roof tops when the time comes so you will probably hear me before you see my post!!
Glad your pg's are going well xx

There you are socks! I couldnt remember where the post was and just found it ! You and Gem will be joining this one soon. Us girls are going to encircle you with lots and lots and lots and LOTS of sticky baby dust. And you do belong somewhere hon. Dont ever feel you dont. I love our email chats. Was having a laugh earlier when I logged on. Like we said, it neednt be about babies or ttc or anything like that. There is lots of other stuff to talk about. Like cats! and tv shows !
OK here's a story for you. Im in a bit of discomfort today. Have no idea WHAT happened. But Im sitting at my desk all morning then went to gym at lunch to go to pilates. I undress and find this HORRIFIC big rash on my left groin on my bikini line and a few white bumps. It's quite bizarre. Thought it might be my knickers but I wear them all the time (obviously after washing them in between use!! ). So Im not sure what happened there but I had to go commando for the rest of the day as it hurt so much (once Id realised!) Now the thing is...Im going to Turkey on Sat sailing and will be in bikinis all week with my mates. Im booked in for a wax tomorrow eve but there is no way that my left side can be touched. Let's just say that it's been a while in between visits as I didnt want to go too early before our trip so now Im overdue! So do I go and have half a muff done? Or leave it all?? (TMI!!) I can't do the latter but hubby says i will look weird! I think Im going to have to shave the left side when it calms down...like that will go down well in the 40 degree heat we are heading to.
xx

Wow i leave the site for two days and you lot have a huge old natter, its so lovely to see you all on here and chatting, we all have so much in common and you know what by this time next year i predict babies sitting on each and every one of our knees - yes Gem and Socks that means you too. I think that taking the more relaxed approach to conceiving is the best way too you can look back and think oh my goodness did i really do that!!!!
Anyhow im waffling!!! Still no baby this end but i went to hospital yesterday for reduced movements and came out with high blood pressure, protein, headaches (which i had put down to tiredness) and swollen ankles/fingers/lower abdo!!! So tommorrow i go back for more monitoring and if im lucky they will try and give me another sweep - they tried last night but cervix high n closed - and if im even luckier induce me, well i am 39+5!!!
Right NN i think buying a monitor is a good idea although you will drive yourself mental trying to find hb but when you have you will feel so much relief. having baby move is fantastic but then when they get bigger and have moments of not moving (like last night) you will still be panicing im afraid, dont think ive really truly relaxed through the whole pregnancy since the mmc and definitely feel like ive been pregnant for a year already!!!
Right off to bed with me tired and in pain but will come back and finish this conversation in the morn
take care all
karen xx

You are not going to beleive this one girls
Ok will start at the beginning. Went to day unit on monday as had reduced movements and it was found that my bp was up and i had protein in my wee so had to go back today for more monitoring. So i was monitored and baby was all ok but bp still up and protein in wee. SHO all set to get me to come back tomorrow for further checks when consultant walks in and decided to have a look at me. She tells me shes going to do an internal and does then when shes finished says she wants to get a quick scan done!!!
Well now im paniced slightly, why on earth she wanted a scan i didnt know but of course i didnt say anything. 2 minutes later she tells me that baby is breech yes BREECH!!!!! Im totally confused as have no idea how or when it happened but baby is presenting bum first. She explained what could happen next but because i am exhibiting signs of high bp and protein and headaches i now have to have a c section on friday!!!!! Am still shell shocked, was hoping to have my 5th nice normal delivery and now im booked in eeeekkkkkkk. Think im scared because its fear of the unknown but omg omg omg!!!
Karen

Oh Karen what a naughty little girl!!!
I can imagine it must be quite a shock being your 5th. Do they think there's any chance she'll turn by Friday?
Good luck for Friday - I know you must be really nervous but I'm sure everything will be fine and how exciting that you'll be meeting your little girl in just 2 days!
I will be thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed that all goes smoothly and you make a speedy recovery.
Sim - how's the rash!? What did you decide to do about the waxing in the end? I really hope it's clearing up and not too painful. I hope you have a fantastic holiday - it sounds bliss!
Lots of love to you all, NN 14 weeks today! xxx

I feel all warm and fuzzy (no its not the clomid, although the hot flushes are killing me!)
You girls are the best, I agrree with socks,I flitted between ttc after mc and ectopic, LTTCC, and even bloody started a assisted conception chat, but still miss you lot!
Sim, thanks for the comment, yeah i do feel in a good place, actually im typing this on holiday so superchilled, just off down to the beach in a mo, lets hope the combination of sun, sea and clomid do the trick! (however, and I truely mean this,if it doesnt it wont be the end of the world this month at least!)
Actually i need to talk to you ladies about something else im doing, but its going to be a long post... Im starting fostering in September, it's prob not what you think, im not sure if you know but im a fostering manager, anyway to cut a long story short there is a lad who lives in one of our childrens units,he is nearly 16 and has lived in residental care since aged 9,and in care since 4, he has lots of problems, and has never been seen as fosterable, anyway if he doesnt live with a family soon, he never will... soooo after long chats with my lovely hubby we have agreed to take him in! It will be very challenging, but to be honest, I need a break from my job which is stressful and long hours, and i am looking foward to the change. I have done a deal with work, beause they really want me to take him in they have agreed that if i commit to a year intially, if afterwards i decide i want to work they will ensure a job for me... so ladies, come september I will be a stay at homefoster parent to a very angry and confused 15 year old! I am smiling because everybody thinks were mad but i just know its the right thing for me at this time. We have obviously discussed if we get a BFP, and both feel that as long as im not at any risk then no reason why we cant do both! So thats the basics, but if anybody wants to ask or comment feel free, postive or negative i dont mind, im happy to chat...
Anyway back to my orginal post,I know its not the done thing in chat rooms, but I only ever post on BE,would anybody be interested in meeting up ever? I would like to, im not mad or desperate for new friends or anything, its just that like we have all said, we have shared alot, and sometimes i think it would be nice to have met up even once, you have all been so supportive, it seems a shame to only ever laugh using lol and not face to face!
Anyway, just a thought for the future maybe?
Im off to catch up with all your goss now.. need to find out about MM..
Take care,
Gem xxx

Geez!!! I went away for a week and I missed out on sooooo much!! Just found this post and read your updates.
Must pop over to track Karen down and check how little Kayla-Skye is doing. Surely there must be pics on here somewhere!!
Gem thats a great thing you are doing with the fostering. And I dont think you are mad! Just very considerate. I really hope it works out for you all.
I'd love to meet up if we could all manage it. Im in London. Think we are all a bit around the country?
Oh, BTW, rash sorted itself out! Ended up going for the half wax...noice.
