Subject : Low blood pressure anyone?
I have always had low blood pressure but when im pregnant it gets lower and although i never fainted before I have twice this pg and im only 10 weeks! Ive tested again today and its very low again and the last two times its been this low ive fainted the next day. Im worried as I have the school run tomoz and need to go out and run a few errands . What if I faint on the bus or whilst out with my 17 month old? Ive tried eating etc and nothing helps. Im very over weight so everyone expects me to have high blood pressure not low! So no one really knows/ understands where Im coming from

Normally mine is no higher than 90/60 and I think it's dropping as I've started having "grey outs"! I find it's worse if I'm dehydrated so keep your fluids up. Dehydration could cause a decrease in your blood volume which will cause a drop in blood pressure! I also get up slowly if I've been lying or sitting down. If u do feel woozy tomorrow, don't be embarassed to sit on the ground and tuck your head between your knees for a bit :)

hey hun, I have really low bp, and I do faint. If possible stay in as much as you can. I don't mean to scare you but I fainted in the middle of crossing a busy road pushing dd1 and dd2 in the push chair while pregnant with dd3. Luckily the drivers around were angels, they stopped and called an ambulance, took care of my children while I came around, but in my head I worry it could have been so different.
Don't push your self, I hope your bp goes up slightly the further along you are. I found by 16 weeks I tended not to faint anymore.
good luck and take care of yourself
xx

Mine is quite low but they've never seemed worried about it. The most they've said is that it's better to be low than high!
I did get lots of dizzy spells and head rushes early on but now I'm fine. I make sure I sit up slowly etc though.

Hi have you spoken to your doctor about your blood pressure because there are somethings you can try that will raise it slighlty, for example, salty stuff, like a drink of bovril or marmite on toast, also you can wear compression stockings on your legs could help too?
hope you get it sorted xx
