Just had some good news and wanted to share with someone.
I went to see my GP tonight who I have become quite close to over the last 10 months after 2 MMC and struggling to get pregnant. She is an obs and registrar so has been a real pillar of strength and positivty over the months. I wasn't very well over the weekend and my bump has been quite tender since so just wanted to have a chat and get her to feel about.
As ever I had a list of questions to get reassurance on and she spent 25 mins going through everything. She checked my tummy and said it was my uterus that was tender and it had got really quite big so everything was being stretched and this was why it was tender. All very normal. So that was good news.
She then asked if I minded if she listen with the doppler. I was more than happy as I have been struggling to find the HB with my doppler. She found the HB straight away so I was really pleased. She gave me some tips to try at home. She then asked if I would mind if she had a peek with the scanner as she hasn't seen the baby for a while! I was more than happy as would see baby everyday if I could! She let me watch baby bounce about for 1/2 an hour! It was great. Checked everything, counting toes and fingers, spine etc. I was thrilled! It was having loads of hiccups and was even drinking at one point. Was a real wriggler. I am so pleased she let me have a look for so long as my routine scans have just been quick checks for HB.
Just needed to tell some one as I am grinning ear to ear and so pleased! It really has made me feel so much more relaxed and positive. I have a wee baby in me! So happy:D

Thats great, you must feel really close to the baby after hanging out with it for half an hour.

It must make a difference having a good gp like that.

Awwww what a fantastic GP!!

I am so pleased that she looked after you so well today and let you have a listen to the hb and a long look at your baby! And I'm really glad that it's made you feel more relaxed and positive

Wow your gp sounds fab!

So happy for you hun. After you left the Sept forum I really missed you and so wanted you to get a sticky bfp - you really deserve it.

Hope you can enjoy being pg now. I did find that once I hit 2nd trimester I relaxed quite a lot. It won't be long before you're feeling your baby wriggling around and that's the most reassuring thing ever.

Oh hunni im so glad you have such a brilliant doctor, wish i could have had someone like that at the start of my pregnancy. Pretty soon youre not gonna need a scan to tell you bubba is doing alright, shes gonna be making her presence known xxx

Thank you for all your kind replies ladies. I know how lucky I am to have had the support of my GP. Sadly not everyone we have dealt with is so great! But she really has made me feel so much more relaxed.
It has been such an awfull time since my first MC in Oct last year. I feel like the black cloud is finally lifting and I can really start to smile again.
I hope all of you are progressing well with your pregnancies. It is such a hideous time dealing with the aftermath of MC. You all deserve a brighter future.
