Josh is 5 weeks old tomorow and i had to be cut during labour so i had stitches it doesnt hurt down there anymore and im really horny but sooo scared to have sex OH is understanding but i keep thinking of what it might be like down there and what if its painful i dont want to be put of doing it if we try and dont get on well! Any advice from anyone already done it??

i feel the same,i tore quite bad, and the thought is scaring me,hubby is great but i feel like im making it a huge issue x

I was afraid even though I did not have stitches and only a small tear. The first timewas painfull, second time uncomfrtable, third time almost back to normal.The first ime was after 6 weeks, third time was 2 weeks later. But mostly i am to tired to even want it. Michael still wakes up every two hours during the night and i m just to tired, (only the first sleep of the night he sleeps for four hours :( )

Give it a try when you feel ready, but stop if it is to painfull. take some wine or something to help relax and maybe start with a massage? The first time i was scared and because of that tense. Second time we made sure to relax and take our time. (not easy if you know lo can wake up any second )

i had stitches and we did the deed a couple of weeks ago - it was fine despite me worrying beforehand. try to relax as much as you can xxx

when I had my daughter, I had a 2nd degree tear and stitches. I had sex about 4 weeks after I has given birth and of course the first time can be sore but it does get better. Just take it slowly and tell your husband that you may need to stop if you feel uncomfortable or sore. Im sure he will be as apprehensive as you. dont worry, you will soon get into the swing of things!!
