Subject : Is wetting scaring him??? Help!!
Hello...
I really need some advice..
Eoin is 20 months and I decided to buy a potty and leave it out for him to get used to....
After a few days he began to tell me when a 'poo poo' was coming and we sat him on potty and he happily pooed!!!
Any way, as the weather was so nice I decided to let him go nappy free so he can learn to wee on potty... as he played and had his first little wetting accident he freaked... crying and shaking. Each time since he has done the same thing. So I have decided to leave it for now and try after our holiday. But... now he seems to panic when he wee's with the nappy on... getting upset and coming for a cuddle... Do you think this is memories of wetting the floor and scaring himself??? will this pass???
I am concerned because he had a little willy infection a month ago (red swelling and discharge) and it hurt him too pee and antibiotics cleared it up. however when swab results came bk they said it may re-occur as the particular infection dosnt always respond to ammoxicilan and usually a diff one is prescribed. So I was thinking is he upset because it may be the infection again.... but,His willy looks fine and normal though.so I dont think the infections back.... Have I done all this potty business wrong and terrified the poor soul for life!!! Did I start too early.... please help!
