Def worth going, im sure they will say yes its fine and then you will be insured.

Hey !!
Ive just started driving again today he he !! yayy ... I did wait 6 weeks
your probably fine to drive but its other people who may cause u to do an emergency stop or worse have a bump...

you may find that if you drive you might end up going out alot and not having the rest you need to recover from the operation...
I am a very outdoors person and really really struggled the last week not driving, but its better to be on the safe side.

however im quite lucky as where i live is very close to the town and a few parks (to take my dog out)
there no harm in asking the Doctors though!

hope you manage to find things to do without a car x

My doctor said it was ok to drive 2 weeks after section providing that I felt ok in doing so and would be able to do emergency stop. It was a telephone appointment so don't know whether it would have been different had I seen a doctor. The insurance company said it was fine as long as doctor said it was ok.

Didn't start driving until about 4 weeks after though as didn't feel ready, so hopefully you should be ok!!

xx
