Subject : This probably sounds stupid!

Hi all

This is probably going to sound stupid. I found out that i am pregnant today. I cant believe it as me and my husband had one accident this month so didnt think it really could happen. Although I am very happy im also very worried. I had a miscarriage a few years ago. Its silly to worry as I have an 11 month old little girl so know I can have children. I just cant help but worry, it had such an impact on me! When i did the test today i also had a tiny second second when I thought 'oh no'cos i had made plans to study. I feel really guilty now cos I really want this baby. More then anything.

If i go by the first day of my last period it makes me 4 weeks and 1 day but i did the digital test which says im 2 weeks. ONLY 2 WEEKS!!!!Thats crazy and it makes me feel worse:(

I'm sorry I'm babbling. Im just so worried its silly.

Thanks for taking the time to read this mess:)

All your feelings are perfectly normal. Ive had 2 mc and 2 kids and im 10 weeks just now. I have had all the same feelings as you. I think even if you were trying really hard to get pg you would still have that moment of oh no!! Dont feel guilty!!

Dont panic either about mc, what is meant to be, is meant to be and you cant change the outcome by worrying.

Focus on how lovely it will be when you have 2 little ones with such a small age gap. There is 16 months between mine and they are such good friends its fab!!

Chill and enjoy

Hi Anna

Of course that doesn't sound stupid at all. MC is such a difficult and awful thing to go through that has such a huge impact on your life and your emotions - it's completely normal to feel worried in a new pregnancy.

Please don't feel guilty for your momentary thoughts about not being able to study - sometimes people need a little time to adjust to all the changes that having a baby brings. It doesn't mean that you want this baby any less than your little girl or than anyone else who's pregnant.

As for the digital test - was it a clear blue test with conception indicator? These give you an estimate of when you conceived - so you need to add another 2 weeks for how many weeks pregnant you are as it goes from your last period. That would match up with your last period being just over 4 weeks ago Smile

I hope everything goes smoothly for you.
