HAS ANYONE BEEN????

Hi!!

We are going to Great Yarmouth on our holiday soon with Eoin who is 20 months now! We are staying at Summerfields holiday Village in scratby, and wondering if anyone has any suggestions of where to go and what to do??? Theres lots of ideas online but advice from a 'mummy' or 'daddy' who knows what would suit Eoins age would be great!!! Thank you xxxxx

I knwo Scarborough better than Yarmouth but it is only just down the road so this could help. Scarborough has a sealife centre and a seal centre (which I prefer). It also has a huge park with a train ride, a castle and alovely beach. Robin Hoods bay is close as well with a great beach for beach combing. Filey and Whitby are also in easy reach so these are all places to look at for days out. Flamingo Land is about 30mins ish away and has loads of rides for lo's as well as a zoo but it can be expensive to get in. Hope this helps. I love this part of the coast because so many things are within aneasy hous drive. Have a fab time.

scarborough is miles from yarmouth.my aunties live there and there is plenty to do x

That was so freaky! I clicked on toddler forum and just saw GREAT YARMOUTH!!!

I actually live in a village about 6 miles outside called Bradwell but I had my first house in Great Yarmouth and have often worked there.
Great Yarmouth can be a bit tacky but its great for kids and to have fun!!

Scratby is good for a restort but most of the activites are in yarmouth itself. You must take Eoin to Joyland - its a little kids fairground park, you also have the sealife centre and butterfly / amazonia place along yarmouth seafront too.
There are also some nice zoos around the area and I would recommend a day trip to Norwich, its a lovely city and you could take the train from yarmouth

Hiya, thanks for response.. its nice to get a 'mummy eye view' of places to go and things to do!!! I wouldnt want to take him somewhere where he's to small for everything!!!

I looked at bewilderwood website, do you think Eoin to young??

Bewilderwood is slightly for older kids but I know a 2 year old who'll happily climb it!!
Shea will have a go at some of the big stuff but I have to go with him!!! Does Eoin often go to toddler climbing centres? we've alot round here, monkey business, pirates world etc and he's always practised his climbing there so he's pretty confident.

But this year Bewilderwood have opended a "toddlewood" section there for the smaller kids and my friend went and said it was much better for the smaller kids.

Everything that Eoin sets eyes on is a 'climbing apparatus' in his eyes!!! We do go to a place called eddie Katz which has climbing and soft play which Eoin loves so we may give the wood a go!!!

glad its been of some help as there's nothing worse than arriving on holiday and not having a clue what to do or where to go, by the time you've found the best places its time to go home!!

Don't think the weather is going to be too bad either next week, its still quite hot here now, about 21 today.

I hope you have a lovely time and want to hear all about it when you get back!
