Subject : 20 week scan on tuesday and begining to worry!

I have my 20 week scan on tuesday (at 22 weeks) and im begining to freak out. I had a gender scan 2 weeks ago but im worried that perhaps she saw something wrong and just didnt mention it, can they do this?

I know its natural to worry but i love my little boy so much already i just want him to be healthy. Hubby is home tuesday after 2 weeks away which im sure is adding to my nervousness because he is not here.

Not sure what anyone can say just needed to say how im feeling.

I posted on pregnancy as well, you have no need to worry. Relax yourself as much as possible. I am sure if they had seen anything at the last scan they would have told you. Just remember you will be going to see your little boy again and thats the great thing and the thing to look forward to xxxxxxxx

If there had been anything at your gender scan they would have referred you back to your maternity team - even if they weren't sure!
Mind you, my scan is tomorrow and I'm terrified too -fortunately got a busy afternoon ahead and eye test tomorrow morning to take my mind off what is probably completely unfounded paranoia! Sending you all the PMA I can spare - we can sit with our fingers crossed together!

did they call you back for this scan or was it pre-booked? Not sure why they would scan separately for a gender scan and 20 week checkup but each area seems to do things differently! Im sure though if there was a problem then they would have said so straight away at the gender scan and followed it up straight away. So don't worry yourself and think how wonderful it will be to see bub again so soon! I hope your hubby makes it back in time for the scan too.

Its only natural hun, I was a total wreck at mine. I think that no matter how many positive scans and trips to the midwife we will always have something new to worry about! :-)

Let us know how you get on, will be thinking of you.

Youre bound to worry - shows you care then youll be even more excited when you see your little boy on screen again.

I think some of us were paying for gender scans seperately Sim, they wouldnt keep it to themselves - Im guessing thats why they ask you for your maternity notes and details of your docs - as they did at Babybond where I had my Gender scan.

Good luck

Hey chick,

Its completley natural to worry - as soon as I leave my midwife I worry untill my next appointment!
Everything is absolutley fine - they would have told you at the gender scan hun honestly.
I know its easier said than done but try not to worry about it - it will only make you stressed which isnt good for baby!! ;)
Bet you cant wait for hubby to get back! xxx
