Subject : Losing my mind...surely its too early for movement?!

Girls I am losing the plot here....

I am still very firmly in first trimester but have been lying here on the sofa for about the past hour scared to move because I think I might have felt bubs moving....!

I can't really describe it but it feels like a weird fluttering really low down underneath my tummy (basically just at the top of my bikini line).

This is my first pregnancy so I've got nothing to compare it to but it's just such a weird feeling that I've never ever felt before.

Is nearly 9 weeks far too early to feel anything??? I thought it happened much later??? :\?Confused

I felt my baby move at 9 weeks too! It was maddening because everyone told me it was wind but I felt very sure I know the difference. Anyway, now I'm 14 weeks I know for sure those early feelings were the baby because the feelings got bigger and more regular and now I can feel where the baby is and little kicks and turns.

Be ready for the midwife to snort at you though, mine still thinks I'm a bit nuts but I just think I'm either very sensitive, or baby is a gymnast or maybe it's where the baby is. Anyway what you describe sounds like it, enjoy!!!! Also mine almost stopped wk 10 - 11 and I was a bit worried and then it came back again so don't worry if you can't feel it for a while.

Hi
I think I have heard of a couple of ladies feeling fluttering this early on. They usually aren't their first pregnancy but as we all tend to be more aware of these things I wonder if we are atuned to it although it is our first? I 'think' I felt movment from about 13 weeks, but hadn't felt anything for a few days so was starting to wonder if it was wind!
But I sneezed in bed this am and felt definate movement and bubbles for about 5-10 seconds!
Enjoy feeling your baby, I felt more bonded with her when I felt it. I wanted to run around and tell everyone! lol

i felt mine from about 16 weeks but when i phoned at 19 weeks to say i'd not felt her for over 24 hours the mw refused to beleive me. i found out though that when they are that small you can only feel them in certain places so if the baby moves to a different area you might not feel anything for a few days.
hope i dont get shot down for this but im not sure thye baby does move that early. at 9 weeks they still only have buds for arms and legs and i didn't think they did move at all until they were bigger?

im on my second baby and have been feeling this lil one since 12wksish, it dint move over wk 15-16 as much i think this is because my baby moved up out of the pelvis at this time, im now 17+1 and baby is becomeing more active and im feeling it more because i think babys rose up a lil more agin in the past few days to just above my belly button.

i was about 18wks when i felt my 1st daughter move!
