Not the nicest of subjects, sorry girlies. Anyway i am now 5 days overdue and last night i noticed when i went to the loo that i lost a bit of my mucus plug (show), i have lost a bit more today too but not had any contractions or anything. I know this doesn't necessarily mean labour is imminent but i'm so fed up and just wondered if anybody else had had this and how long afterwards did you go into labour?

I'm not having any contractions or anything and am booked in to be induced on Thursday, i'm really hoping it all happens naturally before then but i'm also doubtful!

any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Hi im not sure if I can be of any help but I lost my mucus plug in various stages throughout Tuesday of last week and as I had my baby the next day!

The first part of my show was 8am that morning and the baby was here 8.10am the next morning

I was already having mild tightenings anyway so it may not be the case for you, but I hope it is! good luck.

hey there, thank you for your responses, i am still losing what i think is my mucus plug, its just clear stuff now but i'm also noticing every so often i feel a little pool of liquid and my knickers are all wet and i have to change them, its not trickling or anything so don't think its my waters but i'm guessing its all part of the plug too.

Just so fed up and hope this is the start of things but probably not, baby just seems quite happy curled up in there. will keep you posted though, thanks girls

hey hun,i lost my plug the night i went into labour with dd1.The wetness could well be your waters leaking,this is how mine sterted leaking with dd2.A good way to tell is to put a pad in your knickers and monitor how long till you need to change it.If you do think its waters id call the hospital as they will probably want to induce you earlier than thursday if nothings happened.I was told when my waters started leaking that i would be induced 72 hrs from them 1st going,luckily contractions started the mrnin i was due to call up and be induced! good luck hope u rnt waiting too long xx

hey there, so just to update you, i did ring the hospital and they asked me to come up, turns out my waters had broken and were completely gone, she felt the babies head when she felt my cervix and said there was no membrane around it, so glad i rang them now.

I am just over 1cm dilated and home now, but basically its all got to start happening tonight otherwise i am up there at 8:00 am tomorrow morning to be induced!!

lets hope it starts happening, she gave me a stretch and sweep aswell which should help.
