Subject : i'm back with BAD News and GOOD News

Hello Lovely Broody Ladies

i have so much to catch up on but first i need to tell you....

The Bad News

we are home early from Turkey coz we had a big car crash in a rental car and i ended up with aa fractured collar-bone Frown on my right side so has rendered me virtually useless and makes typing a challenge!
thsnk God my injury was the only vaguely serious one - hubby had a badly swollen and bruised finger but was otherwise ok. from the speed the other driver was going it's actually a miracle that we're alive (if we hadnt been wearing seatbelts i dont think we would be!!)
it all happened a week ago but we came home yesterday as soon as i felt able to make the journey

ok now for The Good News

When i was in the hospital hubby admitted that seeing me unconscious and then in the ambulance made him realize how devastated he would be if he never had the chance to have a family with me. he said he suddenly realized there was no good reason for putting it off and that...
...he wants to start TTC immediately!!! (as soon as i'm physically able of course)
Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy

i'm soooooooooooo happy - i know i said i would have to convince him but hadnt planned on having to break a bone to do it LOL!

anyway i start my LAST pack of pills on thursday so hopefully i will be just about fully healed and ready to get down to business in about a month Happy i have a Drs appointment on Monday to check my collarbone so i'm gonna talk to him about TTC as well

so excited now - bring on August! woohoo

OMG!! Are you ok? Turkish drivers are terrible - which part were you in (so I can avoid it!)? Glad you are all put back together again, you must be relieved to be home safely. That's such an awful thing to happen Sad

But YAY!! Great news about hubby's epiphany and ttc! I'm so pleased for you and it will give you extra incentive to get better soon.

(But make sure you take it easy and have hubby look after you for a bit first, hehe!!)

x

oh MrsG it was a totally doomed holiday
we stayeed in a little tiny hamlet near Olu Deniz - i love Turkey but would never go back to Olu Deniz. too touristy and v over-priced compared to other parts of the country.

basically we were turning off the main highway into a town called Gocek - we were on the roundabout and had right of way but the other driver just kept going and drove straight into us. his excuse was he thought we would go faster and get out of his way!

hubby is my absolute hero. he has looked after me so well and has even learnt how to put my hair in a half-decent ponytail
so many silly things are so hard when you cant use your right hand

I know! NOT enjoying early pregnancy much at the moment, just so exhausted and unable to sleep in the heat! I keep reminding myself that it would be worse at 30+ weeks in this heat!

Glad you're on the mend hon and I exect to hear of lots of UPSIing shenanigans when you're feeling better.

Snowcake it was really scary at the state hospital as they didnt speak english and loads of people around me who didnt seem to know what they were doing - plus hubby said later that it was filthy and blood still on the floors etc
luckily our travel rep had us moved immediately to a private hospital, which was fantastic
i actually think that hospital was better than any i have been to in the UK

cant believe we are finally going to start TTC - it's like getting the actual proposal + ring after talking about marriage for years LOL!

from the moment he said it in the hospital i've been desperate to come on here and tell you all!

PS no way would i let hubby near me with a mascara brush - he would probably poke my eyes out Smile hehe

Bloody hell Mrs Raf! What a nightmare of a holiday, you poor things. How frightening. I had an operation on my right elbow last year and it rendered me useless too for about 3 weeks - hubby also learnt how to wash my hair etc etc, so I'm totally with you!! Bless them. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

FABULOUS NEWS ABOUT TTC!!!! I am SO, SO excited for you, you must be over the moon! I'm an August hopeful too, so we'll be starting that journey together, along with Minieggs.

Woo hoo!! Roll on August!! Took my last pill last week, but waiting to recover from my loop diathermy, so August is our starting point.

xxxxxxx

Glad hubby is doing a good job of looking after you - that's what you need at the moment! He sounds like a sweetie.
I've never been to Olu Deniz but h2b's parents live in Turkey and whenever we go to see them I am amazed how there are not more accidents. Not wanting to scare you but the Turkish driving test is to drive 100 metres in a straight line! And they tend not to worry about trivial things such as whether the traffic lights are on red or green.
Glad you are safe and getting better though.
