Carrie slept fine at night but hardly at all during the day until she started properly crawling at around 10 months - she's slept consistently in the afternoon since for around 2 hours.
Heaven!!

mrskc, Ruby was exactly the same at 5 months, I could time her to the second of 35 mins for a nap, one or two a day and three if i was very lucky.
She would winge and would be tired but wouldn't go down.
She was a bad sleeper at night as well and always screamed at bedtime, sometimes for up to 45 minutes.
However, she started sleeping through at 9 months after she stopped breastfeeding by herself..
I too noticed a marked improvement when she strated to crawl at 6 months but it is only in the last couple of months that she has started to have two 'proper' sleeps of between and hour or two a day and then 12 hours at night - she is 1 in 3 weeks!
xx

Darcy so rarely sleeps in day unless you take her out in car, I get 20 min once a day max. Always on the go (3 1/2 months). Not complaining though as she sleeps through night! x

Chloe was the same at that age. it can depend on where you put them to nap as well as we found. does he go down in a darkened room in his cot/crib?

we just used to let chloe sleep whereever and she would only nap for 1/2 hr. when then changed it so that she went down in her cot in her darkened room and she now sleeps much longer each time.

sorry if already tried this cos all babies are different!!
