I am sat here typing up my baby shopping list, to try and help me remain restrained, when I finally let myself out on the SHOPS (not for a couple of weeks yet, but best to be prepared). And I wondered how many of you had strayed and bought lots of extra stuff, just because it was too sweet/cute not to?

Guilty....

I went to Asda the week before last for some groceries and bought some little outfits, then I heard about the Argos swing bargain so bought that, today I went into Asda and bought the sensor pad and monitor which was on offer (also mentioned on here). Doesn't help because we know the sex so am trying to stay away from buying anything else now for a few weeks. The same cant be said for my mum and mum in law !!!

Hey hun,
It is really hard not to do it!! My little girl has some things which I know... deep down - are a complete waste of money but they are just so cute!! She has a little brown pair of uggs for the winter!! Which cost a fortune considering how much material it was but they will look lovely and keep her feet very warm!!

I havent been too bad, I have all the things for the nursery. Most of the clothes I have bought have been essentials but my sister went out and bought some dresses and things LOL.

Ooooh are you going to put the rug under the cot?! I want a lovely big rug to put under the cot so that when baby gets bigger and finds it amusing to rock the cot - it wont be sliding around the room lol!!
Hahaha!! When my OH sees how much I spent on them I think ill just have to say that Sim!!! xxx

You'll need a big sheepskin rug for that then Tash!
I was just going to get mum to get me a "normal" size one for bubs to lie on. My brother and I had one as kids so I really want one (my mum still has it too!! Thought she was going to suggest the other day to bring that one over ...ah no thanks, it's 34 years old!!) Im paranoid about leaving him to go to sleep on it though (like we used to) as some studies now suggest it could lead to SIDS. But nothing confirmed. My mum works in a neonatal unit in a hospital in oz and when I told her that last week she said that all the new babies in her hospital have them. But whatever the choice, I think they are great for bub to lie on and play when they start to move a bit. You can also use them in the buggy!

One thing I was going to have ridiculous splurge on was a pair of Dior booties!! But we've since found out little Brody is joining us and I don't think they would suit him so much! LOL!

LOL yes it would have to be pretty big wouldnt it!! LOL!!

That sounds really nice though and its always so nice to carry on traditions that your mom and dad had with you! I am going to give my little girl my first bracelet that my mum brought me!! Other than that, unfortunatley - there isnt much that I can remember to carry on!!

Hahaha!! I keep worrying that my girl will come out a boy!! He will have no choice but to wear pink!! He will be a very confused baby for a while!! LOL!!
