Subject : Anyone got any experience of SPD?

Hi all, Just after a bit of help really.
I was diagnosed with symphysis pubis dysfunction about 4 weeks ago and have been signed off work for the rest of my pregnancy. Its quite painful at the moment and Im getting a little worried about the birth of my baby.
I was hoping to have my baby in the closest hospital to me which is more like a birthing centre but they dont deal with complications and dont offer epidurals. I really dont want to have to go to another hospital which deals with c sections etc as it is a lot more busy and my partner doesnt have the option to be there wth me outside of visiting hours unless Im in labour whereas in the first hospital he can come and go as he wants and stay over night on the sofa bed in my room.

Have any of you ladies had any experience of SPD and what was your labour like?
Did you have the option of a normal natural birth or did you have to have an epidural?

I will be asking my midwife at my 25 wk app. but dont want to pester her until then and just would like to know what sort of birth I would need to prepare myself for
Many thanks in advance

Hi hun i was diagnosed with spd at 32 weeks...it was awful couldnt move or anything...getting in and out of bed, bath, car very hard. Was told to move both legs together and then move etc..MW told me to get this band to wear on my hips to keep my upper part together. I didnt end up getting it, but tried resting and not moving too much.

During birth I had to have an epidural and forcep delivery.. I feel ok now but just take it easy hun.
