yes! H&M especially, next 10's & mothercare 10's are still pretty big on me even though i'm closer to a 12 pre preg where as H&M 12's are really pretty tight, I think H&M have always been small, its just a guessing game!! xxx

I have a pair of next maternity jeans in size 12 and they fit fine (was size 12 before falling pregnant)
hubby got me a size 14 maternity from mamas and papas and they are huge i think the 12 would have been big (so keeping them for later on!)
my mate gave me her size 12 maternity jeans from house of demin(no idea where that is!?) and they are so tight!!
got 2 pairs of maternity trousers from river island and although the 12 i could get up they were tight so have got them in 14 too!!
all my tops in maternity are 12's tho!

I had the same with H&M. I have quite wide hips and always had to wear a size 12 trousers yet had a size 10 waist so ive always felt a little rubbish when buying clothes but H&M made me feel like a hippo! I couldnt even get in size 14's so gave up! I bought some in Gap in the end and they are great - well until the sun came out and I had to invest in some summery stuff. Next stuff is def the best ive got although had to order online (Southampton store doesnt have a maternity section) which was a little annoying but found it all fitted fine and made me feel good about my growing shape!

Yeh the range in Southampton is very limited! New Look do have a maternity wear dept but its rubbish. One rail of about 10 things none of which I wanted or needed! I have ended up just buying lots of large stuff from Primark!

I'm not bumpy enough for maternity wear yet (only 9 weeks, lol), but I am normally a size 8-10 and when I went into H&M the other week I needed a size 12 and was more comfortable in the 14!! And that is before I have changed shape at all!! So I think H&M are suddenly just being stingier with their material.

I agree on Next - lovely generous sizes! Much better for my self esteem! :)

Yes - I am finding sizes vary massively and I never know what size I will need so can't really order online.

I am usually a 10 but I had to get Jojo Maman Bebe dress in an 8, have got Blooming Marvellous tops in a 12 (can usually get away with an 8 on top and never bought a size 12 before!)
DP trousers I have in an 8 and they are still v comfy. Yet I have M&P trousers in a 10 and can't even do them up anymore (I'm only 30 weeks so would expect mat trousers to last a bit longer than that!) Got M&P jeans too and they are fine do the sizes don't even seem the same even in the same shop!
Have got a Next swimming costume that's a 12 and actually pretty tight.

Phew! I am so glad you are all finding the same with H&M. I tried on my normal size and couldn't even pull the trousers over my backside let along bump! I too left totally demoralised. Strangely enough went to Next and had to buy the next size down from normal. Felt so much better :\)
Needless to say have bought all my trousers from there now!

I found New look maternity stuff very reasonable in price and I can stay my "normal" size. Although in this heat all I want to do is wear my pants!
