Subject : Ovulation temps and agnus cactus

Hi everyone- i have 2 questions...

1)- i've taken my temp morning and night for a few days and it seems to be all over the place- do i take it as an increased temp if it's higher than the previous day or higher than average???

2) what is Agnus Cactus??? Ive seen people mention it a few times and am really confused...can it be taken with folic acid? are there any side affects?????

Any advice welcome!!!!

Hi, I can't help with your 2nd question but I'd also be really interested in the answer as I've heard a lot about it too.

I take my temp every morning and its also all over the place, I just have a - or + sign that will then be followed by a number such as 0.34 and apparently this is how much it is above or below normal temp. I think its normal to be all over the place though. I haven't ov'd since starting it but I'm assuming the difference in temp then must be rather significant. If it puts your mind at rest in the past 17 days I have ranged from +0.1 to -0.74 so I really am totally all over the show.

Tink x

hello

1)
for temps to mean anything you need to take them on waking before getting up and keep an accurate recored somewhere like fertility friend, taking them more than once in a day just confuses the issue, for OV to be confirmed you need to have 3 consecutively higher temps, irractic temps are usually caused by inaccurate temping or not temping with a proper BBT thermometer (a normal thermometer isnt accurate enough)

2)
angnus cactus is routinely used for the menapause to realine hormones although is said to have some effect on reducing long cycles, for me it had no effect but has worked for some ladies so is worth a go if you have long cycles of 40+ days
