Subject : BD for first time but there was blood :(

We decided to start BDing last night as I am now on CD7 after my first AF returned.
I was worried incase it was sore, but it was fine, I was just a tiny bit tender, it might have been all in my head though.

When we finished I had a small bit of red blood which just wiped away.(sorry TMI)

This morning when wiping I had dark dark brown old looking blood. It reminded me a bit of the start of the MC and had me in tears, just the shock of seeing it.

I was looking forward to ovulation next week but now I am worried. I have seen nothing but blood and spotting for all of June, then there was AF. I had really enjoyed this last week of no blood at all.

did this happen to anyone else?

Many thanks for any replies

xx

Oh Posy, poor you ((hugs)). This didn't happen to me as mc only lasted 5 days like a normal af, just really heavy, and I wanted to bd straight away afterwards....the theory being like falling off a horse, get straight back on before you're put off altogether. I did find it uncomfortable, and also burst into tears straight after (my poor OH!) but I dont remember there being any blood.

I would wait and see what happens today and over weekend with the blood, if you're not in any pain or any cramps or anything obviously, and then if still there on Monday go and see the doc. Also, if it stops, but happens again next time you bd, go see doc straight away.

It could just be that if you were tense (like I was) that it was a bit of a tight fit (sorry, tmi) and you've just given yourself a wee tear or a wee bit of friction burn or something. If you're not in any pain, personally I wouldn't worry. xx

Thanks Lulee...only problem is that i'm off on holidays tonight for 2 weeks, so no chance of doctor!

The blood has stopped now thank god, and there is no pain. I'm hoping it was just my cervix being sensitive and then some old blood coming loose.

Its just putting me off doing it again, but I think I will leave it a couple of days and give it time to heal.

Hi Posy, hope you are feeling a bit better this morning. I didn't have this happen to me but I did have random spotting every so often until my first AF (fingers crossed none since though). It is probably as you've said and your cervix still being sensitive at the moment. I would think you would still be in pain or bleeding if there was or problem. It is probably a good idea to give bding a rest for a day or two though to make sure you don't irritate the same spot again next time.

Hope you have a lovely holiday, xxx

Do you know, if you're off on holiday for 2 weeks, for peace of mind and better safe then sorry, I would maybe try to get an emergency appointment at the docs this afternoon - just so they can have a quick look and put your mind at rest. Last thing you want is for this to be on your mind when you should be relaxing on your hols! Plus, doc can give you the total ok to go and bd you heart out on hols Happy xx

Hi posy,
Just to say please try not to worry and i agree with the others to see your gp for peace of mind if that helps calm you. When i had a mc last year at 6 wks, i bled heavily for the first wk but continued to bleed lightly for a further 3 wks. I went to see my gp twice and they were great about giving me reasurance. Hope your feeling better soon. Hugs XXX:\)

Thanks everyone for your replies....like Summer76 I was very tense and emotional about it and cried afterwards. I am feeling a lot better now and am just going to give the BD a rest for a few days until ov time.

Am off now to the airport and look forward to chatting to you all when I get back

xoxo
