Hi
I've been taking Noah to water babies since he was 6 weeks old. He seems to enjoy it, only lasts for half hour, but i think the room is too hot, so he does start crying after a while. One week he fell asleep in the pool, i had to just continue with him fast asleep. I took him to the normal swimming pool the other day, he looked so cute in his little wet suit. He was fantastic, never cried once, this pool is cooler, so i think he preferred it.

I am going to take Abby soon, but keep coming up with excuses and reasons why I should put it off. I am such a wuss!

She always cries so much when she gets out the bath, don't want her to cry like that in public!

we took pippa to the pool on tuesday and she didn't cry or scream (but she loves her baths) and kicked about quite happily, we only kept her in for 25 mins and she slept like a log afterwards for three hours, she never sleeps that long. Pippa doesn't like getting hot so think we'll stick with taking her to our local pool

We took Ethan swimming for the first time on Wednesday and he loved it too; he also really enjoys his baths though so it was no surprise. We put him in a disposable swim nappy (although we do have a reusable one too) and that was it - we also took an inflatable swim seat for him to float around in and he just chilled in it, kicking his legs every now and then! He also slept really well after - I was so impressed we are definately going to make it a regular thing!

Hi i was advised by the swimming instructor at water babies that when swimming in normal swimming pools the baby should have a wet suit and disposable nappy on and limit the swimming to 15 minutes. I got Noah a wet suit from mother care for £19.99, but seen the exact same one from ebay just £9, so took the other one back. The pool i take Noah in with waterbabies is extra warm so he doesn't need the wet suit in there.

I would like to take my lo 2 but I don/t know the temperature that should be in the pool. Do you know any pools in birmingham who do mums and babies only and at the right temperature? Also what shall I put on my lo?

i've been taking jacob swimming since he was 8 weeks - he loves it! we just go to our local pool, but use the learner pool as it's warmer than the main pool. he just wears a huggies swim nappy, and lasts 15-25mins before he starts getting a bit chilly. might have to look into a wetsuit!

I take Oliver to Aquanauts its really good he has been going since he was 6 wks old they teach the babies all about water safety, There is a web site that you can go on and buy swim nappies which are reuseable and its a one size fit all they also do a suit which keeps them warm when swimming you can buy these from konfidence.
