Subject : My gynae appt has come through!!!

So some of you know that I was speaking with my gp last cycle as I was getting vry faint +ve hpt's which got fainter & turnt -ve!! so I didnt make an official announcement then af arrived nearly 2 weeks late vry heavy & vry painful, she said that she suspected an early mc or a chem pg. We also had a mmc in Jan and found out at our 12wk scan.

Since 2001 I have suffered with endometriosis i've had 2 laps & my left tube has been stuck to my bowel from the endo & scar tissue.

She's concerned that I may be miscarrying because of the problems i've had maybe scar tissue or some endo back so said there was a possibility that the embryo couldnt attach or grow properly.

So my appt came through & it's on the 27th July!!! Didnt expect to get one so quickly, but they have a massive file on me there so maybe that's why.

Little bit nervous just incase they want to do another lap to check what's going on, but at the same time am glad that we will get some help & maybe some answers as to wether it was "just one of those things" as they say or wether there's an underlying problem. (sigh of releif, for now) xxx

Thanks hun, I know I was surprised as well. how are you? I havent been on too much lately so not really spoken to anyone.

I know we havent been trying for as long as alot of ladies on here (partly cause we were pg last oct) but they had told me countless times if I was having trouble of any sort then I should go back to them & if there is a problem I dont want to keep conceiving then not being able to carry to full term. So fingers crossed. xxx

Congratulations Laujai. I hope this is a big step closer to your sticky BFP and that you get the answers you need. It must be great to feel like they are listening.

Awww that's fantastic news Lau and so quick to be seen too!

Don't be nervous, just think of it as being another step closer to that sticky BFP!! And it may just be the tonic you need, I know lots of women who TTC unsuccessfully until they book a gynae appt and then go and get their BFP without needing to go for the appt!

Fingers crossed for you hun xxx

oops i missed this post before. good to hear that you've got the ball rolling so you can get everything checked out, just for peace of mind as much as anything else. a friend of mine has a theaory that once you start handing the mental burden over to medical professionals you can relax a litle bit as someone else is helping. in my friend's case just getting the appointment with the fertility doc seemed to help her relax and get her BFP naturally.

hi hun hope you don't mind but just saw this on the front page. I also have endo and was diagnosied 6 years ago now. First lap surgeon couldn't do anything so stayed on contraceptive injection but didn't help, so went on prostap to put me through the menopause, had over nine months of this as came off it and went back on and felt loads better so went onto the pill taking three packs after each other, but within months the pain was back and worst then ever. Over the next year i was referred to a different consultnat had more ultrasounds and tests and eventually had a 2nd lap in august 2007 and started ttc staraight after as gynea said now or never. Fell pregnant in december mc in feb, fell pregnant again in march and mc in april, fell pregnant again in july and am now mum to my beautiful daughter who's now 3 months old. I saw me gynea when i was five wks pregnant with pippa and they said the mc were probably just one of those things. I just wanted to give you a bit of pma and say i hope you get things sorted quickly, and if you do have a lap lots of women get pregnant quite quickly after them as it clears everything out.
good luck
