Subject : When should I start feeding my husband his vitamins etc? :-)

Hi everyone!

Just wondering when is a good time for my husband to start taking some supplements? I am taking Pregnacare now as we want to start trying early September, should he be taking something now as well in preparation?

Also what should he be taking?

Thanks for your help!

Lucy xx

mfs - zinc is supposed to help his swimmers, allegedly.

H2B multivits got replaced when they ran out a few weeks ago, with Tescos version of wellman, same vits and doses but much cheaper. For now I'm just taking folic acid but will switch to pregnacare conception (or tescos version) come ttc time (sept)

Sorry for GC from prgnancy but I was told that vitamins take three months to get into the system. Not sure how true that is but I put hubby on them on second month and we got our BFP on month four, which was three months after he started taking them.

I put him on Zinc and selinium (sp)

Hope this helps.

My OH is starting the zinc tonight. He takes vitamin C normally, so I just got some of those with zinc in. He was grumbling, but seeing as he wants a baby more than I do, I told him to stop moaning!

Brilliant MrsTIL, really good news!!

I haven't got a clue how much OH's should take so i'll be feeding mine the Tesco B-actives as they seem to have a good amount of zinc etc....don't laugh, i even put them on his spoon in the morning to make sure he takes his multivits!! LOL!
