Subject : So worried and scared UPDATED

Hi ladies, well the title says it all.
Last night I went to the toilet and on wiping there was a bright red blood. I am so scared that I am starting to Mc again.By the way I am only 5 1/2 wks pg. This morning I woke and although there is no red blood there is some brown cm. I have phoned the Dr's this morning and I have an appointment at 10.20 but I am now just so worried that it's all happening again. I know there is nothing that I can do and what will be will be but just hope that the Dr can get me an early scan to confirm one way or the other whether it is the start of a mc.

Leigh-Anne x

UPDATE

Well have been to hospital and had scan and there was a teeny tiny heartbeat ,Yay!! although the fetus was tiny it just measured 2.8mm and they say they think my datings are about right ay 5 1/2 wks. Although they have picked up that I have a bocornuate uterus (heart shaped uterus) that can cause problems like MC or premature birth I also have two cysts on my left ovary but they didn't seem overly concerned with the cysts as they said they will just dissolve, which they think could be why I have had the back pain. There is also a query as to whether there is another sac in the left hand side of the uterus OMG!! so I have to go back in 12 days time to see if it is another fetus developing. Scary scary, but so happy that I have a little heartbeat, hubby was so relieved. I must admit I had to have an internal scan which was a bit uncomfortable and I really thought it was going to be bad news as she started the scan with the monitor off, but then half way through she turned it on and I then knew that that in itself was a good sign.

So relieved and thank you for your support NN I am glad that all is going so well for you, and it is such a worry with the slightest little twinge you just imagine the worst. When I worry from now on I will think of you and how positive you are and think that all will be ok in the end.

Thank you again.

A very relieved Leigh-Anne xx

Hi Leigh-Anne

How did you get on at the Drs?

I really hope everything will be ok and this is just one of those (annoying) things that can happen in pregnancy. As you may know I've had brown discharge for most of this pregnancy so far and even had some red, fresh blood last Friday and so far everything is going well (have had 6 scans so far and each time Baby Roo has been absolutely fine).

Sending you (((((hugs))))) I know how frightening it is - you're in my thoughts.

YEY! That's fantastic news Leigh-Anne Happy I am sooo pleased for you - and how exciting that it might be twins! You have to keep me up to date.

When I went for my first scan Baby Roo was measuring 2.6mm - ended up that was at 6+1 (which is what I thought) but at the time they just said 5+ to me and wouldn't give me a more accurate date. But we did see the hb too so my GP said it was more likely to be around 6 weeks.

I really hope that everything continues to go well for you and that your heart-shaped uterus doesn't cause any problems and that you have no more scares like this. Like you said - every twinge is so worrying. But remember we're always here to listen Smile

Take care and congratulations! Happy

Awww, thanks girls, feeling so much better today, my PMA has returned yippee.
I know that I had prepared myself to hear the worst news yesterday, so it was a real shock to hear the complete opposite and was almost unreal.
I will certainly keep you updated, lets hope that is my one and only scare.
Thanks for your support, means so much.
