Subject : fertility clinic today
i had to try hard not to cry. although i was expecting to be told what i was, it was still a shock to hear it. doc said i have pcos, told me to make sure i dont gain weight (i am a size 8 at the moment but have put weight on my waist recently), that i am not ovulating, not to stress (!) go to the gym and try yoga might be a good idea to help remain calm. i am having another scan in july, more blood tests, the starting clomid probably in august / september, depending on my random cycle. totally gutted, but like i said my last cycle was 62d, my last one that was remotely normal at 31 days was a year ago! my baby from my mc should have been born last week too.
and i really shouldnt go on facebook! i am sick of people complaining about being pregnant in summer.
anyway, had to get that off my chest. thanks

Ahh Calleigh. What a shock. Like you say hearing the actual words (or letters) must be awful even if you know deep down.
I know that unfortunately PCOS is very common and lots and lots of people go on to have healthy children.
I'm sorry your due date was last week hun it really kicks you in the teeth doesn't it..
I agree about Facebook. its bad enough we hafve to put up with their bloody scan pictures and daily updates now the moaning about how uncomfortable they are. I'd love to be in that position,.
Look after yourself and try not to stress about not stressing too much (I know its hard).xxx

Aw hunni I just wanted to send you a big hug xx I am sorry. Pg complainers do my head in three! On the positive side, I have 2 friends with 3 children between them and both suffer from PCOS so don't throw the towel in now they know what the problem is they can help you so you are one step closer to your dream xx

Arr hun I am sorry you had to hear that - as you say you know some things deep down but to hear it out loud for real and it being real is horrible.
Sending you a big hug - things will be OK even if they don't seem it right now and least they have diagnosed the problem and can do everything in their medical power to help you - which is a good thing.
Facebook and pg peeps complaining aren't the best when trying after an MC or even for the poor ladies been trying for soo long without any success and espesh if your angel was due last week - just not nice to see is it?! Hard enough as it is without that on FB!!!!
I have friend on there I want to block as all she does is put somehting in her 'thinkng' section about her pregnancy and moaning about weather etc - I know her family live in SA so she wants to update them but by god its not what I want to see - hohum my time will come but I know for def I wont be jamming it in peoples faces knowing how I have felt with the MC etc etc
Lots of love and hugs to you hun xxxx

Poor you, it's not been a good week has it. On a positive note though, at least you now have a diagnosis and they are going to be able to do something for you and hopefully the clomid will be just what you need to get your BFP, although it must be so frustrating to have to wait until you can get started with it.
Big hugs, hope you feel better soon, xxx

thanks for all your kind words.
well, i am cd34 and not sure if i should start taking the tablets to create a bleed or not so we can get the cycle started. the doc said wait a week then start taking them, which would be wednesday, but i dont know why wait. if i didnt ov last month, then i have no need to wait, cbfm (and i know it is no good for people with pcos) gave me peaks on cd15 and 16, i am now on cd32 so if i was pg i would test + now, but got bfn this am. but i got a dark line on an ov stick the week after that. i know they could be because my body tried to ov and failed, but i dont want to take the tablets just in case.
i think i'll wait...

hi there,
so sorry about your diagnosis - this ttc is hard enough without more obstacles being put in your path. although i don't know anyone with pcos who is ttc, i have read lots of posts on BE and other websites of ladies who are pg with the help of clomid - try to enjoy the summer and get ready for lots of baby dancing as soon as the clomid kicks in (maybe get some practice BD'ing in now to make sure you're fully trained up...! - probably as good as going the gym!!) .
take care,
kristen xx
ps i think i'd wait to take the tablets - if it was me i would only worry that i'd done the wrong thing if i started them early...

well, i waited until monday to take the tablets. i bought 2 packs of FR on sunday to double check before taking them and got a very faint line. i did a tesco test in the afternoon and got a darker line, the line has got darker all week on frs and i now have a very clear bfp!!!!! thank God i didnt start taking them tablets!!!! i have an early scan booked in at the epu in 2 weeks. it is my pcos scan date but changed to an epu one. the dr did say i was probably ov'ing occasionally, just randomly!
thanks for your support. we are remaining very clam as it is very early. by dates i should be 5+4 but in reality probably much less as i cant have ov'd on time.
