Subject : I'm new and pregnant!!

Hello everyone this is my first time posting. I'm 38 and found out this morning i'm pregnant!! and after only 1 month of half hearted trying!.

I was convinced it would take ages (this is my first), now i'm really scared of everything thats coming. My period was only due two days ago so i'm not long gone but already feeling sick!

I know there is no real info anyone can give me i'm just scared now!

Hi there

I'm GC from pregnancy but saw this on the main page.

I was just like you, fell straight away and went into shock! It didn't seem real for a good few weeks so don't stress if your head is all over the place for a while lol, it soon settles down.

Really pleased for you, x

hi kirsty
Congratulations and welcome, I am also 38 and 5 weeks pregnant, although this is my second, my son is 10, so that pregnancy was ages ago,
How are you feeling?
I feel pretty sick and I am so tired, struggle to keep my eyes open past 9 O'clock and this heat.....
Take care and keep in touch.
Lots of love

Hi Kirsty, I'm gc from Baby/Toddler...

Congratulations!

I fell pregs the 1st month too and I was 33 - so surprised just like you. I now have a 16 month old wearing me out but she's worth it!

My advice is get lots of rest now, stay calm and enjoy your pregnancy...

This has given me hope! I'm 41 and ttc #3 after falling for #1 and #2 within 2 cycles. They are now 15 and 6 so also a while ago Happy

Have only given ourselves a few months to conceive for various reasons and I was quite blase it would happen as quick as before... Only in first 2ww but already feeling negative :(

On the plus side for you Kirsten, the nausea is meant to indicate strong hormones so that's good!

Thanks for your reply, I hope the stork visits you soon!!. I was very blase about this little one, my husband and I decided we wouldn't try to hard wasn't interested in IVF etc. We said what would be would be, destiny etc and what happens pregnant straight away!!, it was meant to be and very happy just very scared now!!.

I'm now 17+6 the sickness is much better, still hasn't totally gone and I'm not sure it will.

Good luck to you, just relax

good luck to the girls ttc, and to the girls who are pregnant congratulations!!!

we had gone down the route of being referred for ivf, had tests and stuff done then as it usually goes we found out that i was pregnant, then we got a letter with an appointment date to discuss ivf. i was 38 at the time, now im 39.

i know it sounds silly but everyone says it, you end up getting your bfp when you are not expecting it, it is so stressful and we conceived probably the only time we were totally relaxed about the whole thing. im now just waiting for our little tinker to appear, we cant wait, but at least baby will be here one way or another by this time next week!!
