Subject : Anyone else worried about their weight?
Hi there
This might be a bit cheeky but is anyone else worried that their weight is stopping them from conceiving? I am 28 5 foot 10 and weigh 15 stone. I have lost over 2stone in the last year and a half which I am extremely proud of but we have been trying since November and still nothing (although wasnt too regular at first so muddled up ovulation times). Just wondering if anyone is feeling the same?:\?

If you look there was a post on this in the last couple of days. The girls had mixed ideas about how they felt. I'm about 8 or 9 pounds over my ideal weight so I do want to try and shift that - that's not really ttc related though.
Well done on the weight loss so far - that's a great result! xx

Congrats on the amazing weight loss! thats som achievement.
Try not to get too bogged down with that feeling as stress and worry can also affect ttc. Keep positive and it will happen!
I am overweight. i have a BMI of 27.8 and it should be 25 so i need to lose 1 stone and 1 pound to be right. x

hey hun
I posted a few days ago abuot this, I have lost about 3 and a half stone since the start of the year and was worried that I would need to lose the other 3stone ish that I have to lose before we would fall pregnant but the other woman on here reassured me that it is possible to fall pregnant when carrying a bit of extra weight and quite commonx x and their adviec was to keep losing weight (I read that by losing 10% of your bodyweight you increase your chances of conceiving) and to relax abuot the whole TTC thingxx x itll happen just maybe not as quickly as we would like x x
googluck with the weight loss and congrats on what youve lost so farx x

Thats a hell of a lot of weight to lose, well done.
I'm the opposite, I'm underweight apparently and I'm worried that that will cause me problems. I've had bit of stress the past few months and lost another half stone and I'm scared I might stop ovulating or something. I'm just trying to eat lots of 'fertility' foods and not get anymore stressed. I'm still waiting to ovulate this month and if I don't I'm going to be so gutted.
I don't have any advice except just continue to eat healthily and don't get stressed, which is just such rubbish advice because I know when you get stressed all you want to eat is chocolate and ice cream (or is that just me?) x

I'm trying to get the weight off too if you want a buddy. You have done so well - I just feel like I have so far to go it is so depressing!

i thought the same, i'm 5ft 6 and 2 stone overweight, i've always struggled with my weight and thought rather than diet i would just try and eat more healthily and cut down a bit, we started TTC in October and i've been eating healthily ever since, I'm 9+2 now and it ook me 8 months to get my BFP, I was starting to think that it was my weight but i think as long as you eat healthily and do a little exercise you'll be fine, don't let it preoccupy you :)

I think thats my problem I worry about everything rather than just lettingit all happen in its own time! I feel guilty now had a down weekend about it all so had lot to drink last night which is what I have not been doing I promised myself I wouldnt binge!!!! On the other side maybe it is just what I needed!
