Subject : Starting to stress!!

Hi ladies, im starting to stress now. Got my second scan in the morning. I had one a week and half ago which was bang on my dates at 7+3, and should be 9 weeks tomorrow.

Starting to panic now. In Jan when i had my last mmc i had a scan at 8 weeks ish which showed 7+4 and at my next scan at 12 weeks baby was still 7 and half weeks.

Ive been quite calm up till now but am now having one of those, moments when im sure everything has gone wrong. I know its silly but in a way i think its just easier to think the worst coz then i wont be dissapointed.

The worst thing is that if things have gone wrong i know my oh will not want to try again. I got this bfp while trying to persuade him into one last try!! I will be gutted if i cant have another baby. Then the other part of me is terrified that things are ok coz then reallity hits that im going to have another baby!!

Hope this makes sense, im in the house on my own, oh working and just venting my thoughts!

Sorry for rant

Hi Gemm

Hello, don't think we've spoken before but read you post and just thought I'd day that I can totally sympathise with your situation. I had my first scan at 8wk with this pg last Wed, and the days leading up to it I was a complete mess. Nothing and nobody can really say anything that will make you worry less because I know you just will!! I think its' in us to look to the worst in these situations because its a way of being able to cope if we are prepared that way, its not silly to think like that and quite normal. A lot of the girls on here are in similar sitiuations, after being through a MC or MMC etc and after being through something like that sometimes its hard to look to the positive side. However I am sure that everything will be ok, its just your mind on over-drive and the stress of the situation is giving you doubts. It hard but try to keep stong and positive and a little bit of faith and hope will go a long way. I will be thinking of you and hoping goes ok, easier said than done but try not to worry and get a good nights sleep.

Let me know how you get on.

Love Lou xxx

Hi gemm,
Only just seen your post. Really glad everything went well for you. I find it very stressful before each scan, it is the fear someone is about to tell you the worst possible news. But on the up side if they go well it is such a reassurance & happy times.
Congratulations!

Thats great news Gemm! Any now you are even closer to the finish line of the 1st trimester. The 7 week mark is a tricky one (i too had a mmc where bub only made it that far) but you are past that now and Im sure you heard a nice strong heart beat today! So sit back for a bit now and relax and enjoy the moment. You deserve to. Your 12 wk scan will be here before you know it and you can sit there in amazement at how much your little one has grown in the next few weeks ! xx
