Subject : What do you miss about being Pregnant?????

We always had threads in our due in June forum about what we missed eating/drinking or doing whilst we were pregnant and I thought it would be great to see what we now miss about being pregnant as I for one really really really miss being pregnant!!

I miss the special intimacy of being the only one to feel my baby moving around & hiccuping

I miss all the excitement of the unknown I felt and looking forward to the scans and seeing my little bean on the monitors and finding out the sex of our baby

I miss the lovely condition that my skin and hair was in (my skin now feels like leather and my hair is back to being fine and yuk)

I miss my boobs - since breast feeding and expressing I'm now looking smaller than what I was pre pregnancy and they're not as pert......I better start saving for that boob job!! LOL!

OOooh I've just realised that I could actually be the only one that misses their bump LOL! Please tell me I'm not strange!!

xx

i really miss my bump.....

i miss feeling special because everyone always commented on my bump (even though i moaned at the time!!)

i miss feeling him wriggle about

i miss my boobs as even though they are bigger they are leaking every where!!

i miss not worrying what the hell i eat because i was fat any way!!!

i miss basically all the same as you overthemoon and definately dont want this to be the last time i have a bump!!! hehe what about you gonna do it again you reckon!!?? xxxx

Hahahahha...I have to say NOTHING!! I am so pleased it's done!! I'd go through it all again for Phoebe but will never do it again (plan is to adopt anyway).

Having said the above when I read what you miss I thought I know what you mean re the special intimacy. It's like "oh everyone can see her now" not that I could actually SEE her before but hopefully you know what I mean...liek she's not just "mine"....hope that makes sense, very tired...x

i was so worried throughout my pregancy and was desperate to have him out and know he was ok that i dont miss that side of it all.

the best day of being pregnant was doing the + test and going to tell hubbie who was fast asleep. and the birth was amazing, although not easy i loved knowing this is it, baby is on his way TODAY.

...well I loved being PG, labour and the birth...yes, I know I'm ODD!! heehee...
so I do miss it, but not that Grace gives me the opportunity to think about it that much!!

I miss al of your comments above, about feeling her moving, our 'secret' closeness, and wondering whether she was pink or blue...

Daft things I miss are...having clothes that fit me...at least my mat clothes fit...my non-mat clothes (pre-PG) are now too big so I have to go shopping...oh dear!! ;o)

but most of all, right at this moment...I miss...A FULL NIGHT'S SLEEP!!!!

I love her to pieces but I could really do with a few hours please my darling!! xx heehee....xxx

lol Bon, i miss my full nights sleep too!

But most of all i miss knowing that i was never on my own, I always had my LO with me no matter what i was doing.

I miss watching my belly 'dance' as he wiggled about.

I cant really write down everything i miss, cause all in all, i think i just miss being pregnant! Id do it all again! (no hurry tho!)

Awww it's so nice reading all your replies - it made me realise I miss so much more than I wrote in my first post - thanks so much for sharing with me! Lea - what you said about knowing you always had your LO with you no matter what you were doing, made me well up - how lovely and I totally agree with that sentiment!!
LOL Ames - I knew you wouldn't be missing much as I know you had a tough ole time of it!
Aww Berly - I agree, it was really nice breaking the news to my hubby too!

Definitely with Bon on the missing a good night's sleep!! OOh those were the days LOL

Twizzlepie - I would love another baby but after my delivery/birth I'm quite traumatised (just by things that happened and the idiot consultants looking after me) and I really don't know if I can go through it again - I'm scared stiff!!

I even miss wearing my maternity clothes - I get sad when I see them!! I think I need to pack them all away.

xx

Even though I mostly enjoyed being pregnant, the only thing I would say now that I miss is a full night's sleep like bon! I don't miss my bump, or my fat ankles or aching back.... nope!

I do miss my bump too... having always struggled with my weight and now its post baby plus 7 weeks worth of either hospital food/takeaways, my belly still hasn't gone down massively!

p.s. even with everything wrong with Charlie, I would do it all over again cos he is worth it!

I don't miss my bump as it was causing major pain and problems after 32 weeks. Can't say I miss the sleep cos it was the same when pregnant as it is now with two babies! LOL! I didn't sleep well when pregnant.

but I do miss feeling my little one's kicks and hiccups inside!

For at least a week after the birth I was saying I wouldn't do it again but now I think I would - the pain is soon forgotten! xx

I miss my bump a lot. I had pretty good pregnancy and having a bump was my excuse for being lazy! Miss having a nap on a sofa while reading a book.

yes, feeling kicks and hiccups was great too!

p.s. I miss being healthy "downstairs" - i had episiotomy and forceps delivery, it feels like it's never going to be the same again; miss being intimate with my hubby Sad Sad

as you know i consider my pregnancy to be lucky i guess,no sickness and generally well, then came the horrific sciatica, spd, and pre eclampsia and in hosp for 3 weeks like a yoyo!
i miss my bump so much i know my bumpy is lying here healthy and happy but although she not inside she still my bumpalicious!(cry)
sometimes i look at her and just think wow!just wow!i have goosebumps just thinking about it,
i miss the whole what colour will it be what do i need, what do we do?
i miss the eat whatever cos you never really look fat just pregnant!
i miss the nevermind the legs and the ladygarden as you cant reach
i miss the dreams and sleeps through the day
i miss the waking up and feeling my bump knowing its really happening
i miss the thought of what she will look like
i miss everything, but i shouldnt as i will never miss the abscence of my wee girly,my first born and my angel, and the love of my life
in saying that i handed in my crutches yesterday and i was so sad being back in hospital,i wanted to be there again and have my bump is that strange??????
