My tip would be don't spend money on a baby bath as they are a pain to fill and empty! new born babies are just as happy in the sink and as they get bigger they love to splash in the big bath.

for a newborn.... wet their hair with a flannell rather than pouring water over their head as they don't notice you washing their hair as much!

Don't worry about buying expensive bath toys. My son who is one loves nothing more than playing with a jug in the bath!

Get your child used to a shower early on by using it to tickle their tummy whilst in the bath. Then let them get you. This will help them get used to having their hair washed with it when they're older without the screaming.

Sit in the shower tray with your baby once she can sit up & take a shower together. Showers use much less water than baths, good for the environment & particularly good if you're on a water meter.

If you get the chance, have a nice warm bath and lie down to let baby have a feed from you, it's so lovely skin to skin contact, and baby enjoys it too !!

my tip would be get the mamma and pappas bath with the bit in it that you can set your newborn into, when I had my son I was a very nervous new time mum and this really took the stress out of bath times as I could set him in it without having to hold him and then relax and play with him and wash him, he was also free to kick about and splash from an early age and really enjoyed the bath, was such a fab bath and i buy it for all my pregnant friends and all have loved it so far
