Subject : Anybody split amicably..?

Me and OH have been split for about a month now and its really amicable.

We don't live to gether but its like we're good mates and i like it that way.

Only problem is, we've already decided how to sort financial stuff out as i don't want him paying me maintenance. Feels a bit too... i don't know... mean? We have already decided to split certain costs and that suits me fine.

Would this affect any benifits i would get on top of my wages? I already get working tax credits and child tax credits.

xxxx

Hi hun
Me and Lea's dad were amicable at first but tbh it made things a hell of a lot worse and i now cant stand to see him!
I liked it as being friends, felt we got on better as friends but he wanted to get back together, i didnt and then he turns into an idiot, jealous etc etc!
I think if you are claiming income support-that is the only people you need to tell you are recieving any money from him. You may want to tell tax credits just incase but im pretty sure it doesnt effect anything hun.
I wouldnt find it mean asking him to pay you maintenance, lo is both yours and it will be much harder for you then it will be him.

I dont recieve a penny off Lea's dad and i think even when he gets a job he wont provide tbh. It is a struggle for me because i am unable to work and a little help from him would go a long way.
Really does depend on your situation and whether you feel you can manage without maintenance from him xx
