My niece was born at 32 weeks with exactly what is happening to you, she was absolutely fine - except she is now a nightmare 21yr old stroppy kid!!
I had my baby at 34+ wks and was given steroid injections 4 days before baby was born - she was in SCBU but was healthy, breathing by herself etc.
Easier said than done telling you not to worry but try to be positive - every day your baby stays put is a good sign. And if it decides to come early you are past the 28wk mark so baby will be stronger than we give them credit for
hope this helps xx

I had Freya by emergency c-sec on 13th Jan but she was due 19th Feb.
At 32wks I would honestly love to say that you really don't need to worry at all.
I got seriously ill with pre-eclampsia at christmas and all the midwives kept telling me that 37wks is classed as full term anyway so you're almost there anyway.
There were babies in SCBU with Freya that were born weighing 800g and they were fine.
Have they managed to stop the leaking or are they monitoring the fluid level daily?
Keep positive hun

My twins were born at 32 weeks a month ago and are in SCBU at the moment. They are happy and healthy and are just learning to breastfeed. We are hoping to have them home in the next week or two once they can take a full feed from me without falling asleep! I'm sure your little one will be stronger than you think and will be just fine. These babies like to scare us but have an amazing ability to pull through xx

I too have a 32 weeker who is now a fit healthy 4 year old. I had pre eclampsia and an e cs around 48 hours after the second dose of streroids. She was a little grunty the first few hours but didn't require any breathing assistance, just to grow and get her suck/swallow reflex. She came home after 4 weeks. Everything crossed that your lo stays in a bit longer but try not to worry too much.

Hey!
I had my little girl at 33+2 after my waters broke spontaneously. I had the steroid injections over 24 hours and also tablets to slow the onset of labour. She was born a healthy 4lb and was delivered by emergency c.section, she was also breathing unaided from birth. She did spend 3 and a half wks in SCBU until she was feeding semi on demand and gaining weight well, and she is now a big lump of a fit and healthy 8 month old!
I hope things hold off a little longer for you, but hope you are reassured by stories like mine!
Iz & Skye x

i had my little girl at 32 weeks after my waters broke. my labour was very fast (1hour until i was pushing) so by the time i was checked i was already 3cm so it was too late to try to slow my labour. i was given the first dose of steriods but was pushing 10mins later. she was born a very healthy 4lb 11oz and was very noisey from that first moment. she spent just under 3 weeks in scbu but luckily ahe was only in the incubator for 36hours.
there were several other babies born around the same gestation and all were fine.
hoping that mine and posy's stories reassure you.

My son was born at 33 weeks. i was in labour 2 days and had 2 steroid shots. He was 4lb 4oz and didnt need any oxygen and came home after 3 weeks in SCBU.
He is now a fabulous and healthy 18 month old.
Hope your bubba stays put for a while longer. Good luck.
xx
