I'm really sorry I dont know the answer as i am still trialing different tablets as they keep making me sick. But I do know that PND is meant to be completely cureable, theres hope for us yet.

I was diagnosed with PND when my son was 2 weeks old. He is now 21 months and I have been off my medication for a year now. I won't lie to you, there have been times when I have nearly gone back on the tablets, but day by day it does get better. I haven't had things easy recently (my husband was made redundant 6 months ago and I have just been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis) so this hasn't helped. But I am determined not to go back on the meds. I make sure that everyday, I get 'me' time and if things get too much, not to be ashamed to cry. I have a good support network of family and friends, so that always helps.

Hi there - it can get better on it's own apparently... I didn't want to wait and find out. I was told that the meds help you whilst you find your own way of dealing with the situations that are causing you distress.
Mine all stemmed from work issues and was nothing to do with the baby. I was terrified I would be on meds for life. However I came off them after 6 months and was feeling amazing...
Then my boss started bullying me and I am back on the medication. I know that I have got through it once and I will do again. You have to just take yourself out of the situation.
It does get easier and you won't suffer for ever. You are no doubt doing a fantastic job you just need a bit more support.
I was fine with my first baby and felt SUCH a failure to get it the second time round but ultimately it is the chemical changes in the brain that cause it not you doing anything wrong xxx
